With the publishers being spread about on to other congregations it would follow that the rumor mill would quickly tell the tale and spread the gossip all around the circuit and beyond.
This is certainly an unusual reason to disband a congregation, "lack of love". I'd be interested as well in learning what the real situation in the congregation was that lead to this conclusion.

I'm in your same situation. To me the fact that my wife puts the views, words, and opinions of a any JW elder above mine on anything not just those things related to religion and belief is almost a form of adultery.
Remember the Scripture about the three thong cord that wouldn't easily be torn in two? Well, the WT's added itself in as a forth thong, and it's chaffing my bum, because this thong is continually getting frizzly frazzled, irritated and progressively becoming irrelevantly redundant in this marriage relationship.
The marriage vows I spoke were to my wife before God, and they didn't include the WT. How the heck do they dare butt into my marriage relationship and steal away my wife's soul, this brazen, butt-faced, marriage-wrecking Cult!

I've never heard of a congregation being disbanded for "lack of love". But... Maybe it was lack of love for the Gobbering Body and its traveling representatives.

I'm glad to be free, but the realization that since I'll be 58 this month. i don't have a lot of time left to do it my way.
So true, F2b, so very true.
For us who've given the best decades of our lives to this cult, feeling like we've been robbed is naturally going to raise up feelings of great disappointment and anger.
We may be out, but we cannot claim back the precious time of our younger days. How can we reclaim that? How could we ever get that back?
And if we're still in due to family it can make us feel trapped, having to be in constant opposition to the control of the WT hierarchy with every article they print, yet careful with whatever we say in every conversation with a JW under their spell. Constantly reminded how they continue to steal others' lives and best years for their corporate benefit.

I think that in the case of Dr. Applewhite, money talks, in fact money talks bull$hit. They pay her to present a cozy moral, caring image for the WT.
Her testimony before the Royal Commission was exposed as lacking factual basis.She was shown up to be inaccurate in her report and that makes one doubt her integrity, she was either colluding or she was totally ignorant, in either case she's not a truthful expert nor accurate witness.How could she ever be used in any child abuse courtcases, like the Conti case, when she has obviously sold her reputation on behalf of the WT and for their 0rganizational Corporate benefit against child abuse victims.
