I need food for thought..
by raven inhi friends,it has been 20 years that i've slaved for the wt and through out the past couple of years i could feel myself fighting an urge to accept that something was not right.
i fought it off for so long only for it to resurface frequently throughout my years of pioneering, assembly/convention parts, & speaking with people about the "truth", slaving and giving to try to be a "spiritual person" but in reality i was not spiritual because spirituality (according to the org) is doing all of the things they want you to do.
which then will label you as spiritual... no !!!

The book "In Search of Christian Freedom" by Raymond Franz was a great help for me in understanding how the WT doctrines prevent a person from growing spiritually and offer the view that one can find Christian freedom as promised in Scripture. It's really a heady book but very clearly and easy to follow. It is long, though, 700 pages or so. But definitely worth a read. -

Three reasons why I may have to back.
by Crazyguy ini look back over the last two years of my life with all the experiences i have read about here and other places and these are three experiences that stand out to me.
recently in another post a girl relates her experience of being in the borg and her mom literally threw her away by giving her over to the state after she accused an elder of groping her.
two; i met the man that wrote the insight books for the borg and even though he was at the time the brians of the borgs doctines when he faded his family , brother and his kids are shunning him.

"I met the man that wrote the insight books for the Borg"
And who was that supposed to be?The Insight books (a two volume set) were a revision of the Aid book. Ray Franz, Ed Dunlap and others worked on that first WT encyclopedic book of the Bible.

not all JW's are asleep
by Damascus ini am an 'active' jw but i do not agree with most of the doctrines inc blood, baptism, the memorial etc etc.i took the emblems at the memorial because i think we all should recognise and accept jesus' command to remember him.
not for one minute do i think this is only for the so called anointed.
i know it is full of man made error and that my fellow brothers and sisters are in a state of mindless, spiritual unawareness.

I think I understand your situation, Damascus.I think there are quite a few here who find themselves now, or have been, in a similar situation to you when awakening from the JW.0rganization's pall.
I've been attending still, but my mouth gets me in trouble, every time. If I say anything that deviates from current JW doctrine it gets reported to the elders and it's just so draining to have to explain yourself to these hounders. Introvert2's claim to be a "Biblical Christian" sounds about right for my own views also.
I'm also partaking because I continue to believe in Jesus as Christ and want to do as he requested in regards to memorializing his sacrificial death and resurrection.
There are a lot of people who've given up on religion of any kind on this forum. If you can put up with that then, as I do, you might find it a place where you can express how you feel and know some can understand what you're going through.
Meleti Vivlon's website is very good. I used to love Channel C too.

Zone visit Australia?
by stuckinarut2 inanyone else at this zone visit?.
more higher education bashing, with an embellished "experience"...... more quoting prov 4:18 out of context.. faithful and discreet slave definitions etc..... all the new "understandings" since 2012...... .
we are already in the great tribulation...?.

Maybe its the beginning of the overlapping tribulation.
Good one!
Whatta bunch of bullocks these Orwellian fear-mongers keep coming up with.
The hubris of the WT is astounding.
But their path is increasingly darkening not becoming brighter. (Prov 4:18)
And, I do hope the ARC proves to be a major tribulation for this sickening 0rganization.

Reminder about language and content
by Simon inwhile the vast majority of posts that the majority of posters share are perfectly fine (which we appreciate) i've noticed we have a few cases where bad language, crude innuendo and outright misogyny is creeping in.. this is not acceptable.. we're not certainly not prudish and neither are we going to enforce puritanical rules - sometimes a politically incorrect joke is funny as hell and sometimes strong language is justified.
but often times content is completely out of place and cannot be justified.. so, please don't post crude content or use expletives just to be "shocking".
it's childish and immature and won't be tolerated.. thank you to all the people this has nothing at all to do with..

organization obsesion
by Richard C B inwhy are you guys so obsessed with organizations?
there has to be order in the world and organised people!
-
oppostate
Dear Richard C B, whose member account name must stand for "Richard Cult B*tch" am I right?
JW's prefer the term 0rganization because their turd of a Company President Judge for four days Rutherford told them the term religion was a no-no.
So today the JW religion that Rutherford founded on the schizophrenic Millenerian Bible Student movement, is an 0rganization and they proudly display their JW.0rg signs because the money-making religious and litigious company wasn't successful in getting it copyrighted, otherwise the religions-minions wouldn't be able to brandish it about like the previous religion's Watchtower logo which was a no-no to use.
So that's the obsession about 0rganization, or as much of an answer I venture to give you nincompoop of a troll.
