"Bethelites told they weren’t doing enough, hadn’t reached their potential so about half of them walked out of the talk"
by oppostate inthis was news to me, it's from a year and a half ago,.
from joe emerson at http://www.christianwitnesses.com.
bethelites told they weren’t doing enough, hadn’t reached their potential so about half of them walked out of the talk; efforts made to get names of those who walked out but didn’t get them all.

Bethelites told they weren’t doing enough, hadn’t reached their potential so about half of them walked out of the talk; efforts made to get names of those who walked out but didn’t get them all. Lot less JWs in pioneer schools; e.g. 10-15 instead of 50-70 in one.
84 large top of line 4 K Sony Ultra TV, 65 inches (for fun) TVs sent down to near Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Might be retreat to reward pets.
In New York 22 halls dissolved due to lack of attendance. GB is much upset with Bethelites, “huge rift.”
GB did not pay medical bill for Bethelite they had sent to the Domincan Republic and got sick there; is right now fighting to stay alive. Anger expressed in back rooms. GB member Jackson withholding some information;
IT team stopped working on project for him that is illegal data mining; being punished for it but the IT doesn’t care anymore.
At Brooklyn and Warwick GB losing control as people taking lunch when they want etc. Don’t care and so keeping out alcohol in open.
Trying to bring in older elders to replace younger Bethelites but not able.
Does anyone have more info on this?
Does this have something to do with the WT layoffs?

Pope approves measures to oust bishops who botch abuse cases (thought on a news article from The Washington Post)
by oppostate ini'm very impressed with the way pope francis is handling matters concerning child abuse and the catholic church.
it is quite a change of direction and leadership in this centuries old world wide institution with a long history of human rights abuses.. i invite your comments on this article and also ask if you feel there will ever be a time in the wt world where this type of leader may arise and begin to clean house.. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/religion/pope-oks-procedures-to-remove-bishops-who-botch-abuse-cases/2016/06/04/936c0c88-2a40-11e6-8329-6104954928d2_story.html.
the comments after the article are also quite eye-opening.. [...]the new procedures seek to answer long-standing demands by survivors of abuse that the vatican hold bishops accountable for botching abuse cases.

[...]
The new procedures seek to answer long-standing demands by survivors of abuse that the Vatican hold bishops accountable for botching abuse cases. Victims have long accused bishops of covering up for pedophiles, moving rapists from parish to parish rather than reporting them to police — and suffering no consequences.
[...]
In the law, Francis said a bishop can be removed if his actions or omissions cause “grave harm” — physical, moral, spiritual or financial — to individuals or communities.
The bishop himself doesn’t need to be morally guilty. It’s enough if he is purely lacking in the diligence required of his office.
The procedures call for the Vatican to start an investigation when “serious evidence” is provided that a bishop was negligent. The bishop can defend himself. At the end of the investigation, the Vatican can prepare a decree removing the bishop or ask him to resign. If he doesn’t, the Vatican can issue a removal decree.
[...]
Even before the new procedures were announced, two U.S. bishops who bungled abuse cases resigned on their own: Bishop Robert Finn in Kansas City-St. Joseph, Missouri, and Archbishop John Nienstedt in St. Paul and Minneapolis. They were presumably pressured by the Vatican to step down after civil authorities got involved.
Canon lawyers, though, say said such arm-twisting resignations do little to “repair scandal and restore justice,” which the Church’s penal law system is supposed to accomplish.By Nicole Winfield | AP June 4 at 10:03 AM

I find it interesting. I knew a guy whose situation was similar to Sanderson. Remained single, attended MTS in the late 90s early 2k. I think he continues to work lousy part time gigs with the hope he will get a better assignment, but he never has.
Sanderson started partaking. This would be a common theme among the GB members, declaring themselves to be of the formerly-known-as faithful and discreet slave class or one of the anointed who now that they are in power have decided that only them, the self-sanctified seven, are the true faithful and discreet slave.
Someone should mention to that MTS grad he should had started partaking years ago, but maybe there's still time for him to get the with the program and start partaking, although, the current seven don't seem very excited to let anyone else in on the woman-haters-no-females-allowed faithful and discreet slave club.

Brother Deletion/Loesch used to be a waiter in his young years.
I'm sure that experience was very formative in helping him become a "servant" in the 0rganization. Ehem-ehem!

The more things change, the more they stay the same
by OutsiderLookingIn inoldskool wrote on another post that "the 'truth' is an experience, and the 'beliefs' are designed to get you to behave as a member of the experience.
" i've read a lot here about the many changes to the wtbts in recent years.
but this got me thinking about the practices or, for the most part, non-practices that make someone a jw.

Grunts. Medical maggots and stench soup: Who me? The perfect, most excellent idea for this summer's Regional Conventions. Thanks, NPR!
by oppostate inso i was listening to this npr piece entitled "from medical maggots to stench soup, 'grunt' explores the science of warfare" (this title is a link that will take you to that article).. it is an interview on the "fresh air" npr show (ironically for the content) featuring science writer and researcher mary roach about her latest book, grunt, 'roach learned all about the medicinal use of maggots in world war i. she also purposely sniffed a putrid scent known as "who me?
" that was developed as an experimental weapon during world war ii.'.
" is a military grade stink bomb.

If it can be done intermittently at meetings they'd think someone had really bad bowel troubles.
There could be a local needs talk about befouling the bathroom or passing gas at the meetings.
I don't know if I could hold it together at a local needs talk about this!
Also, wouldn't spraying some noxious smells be more effective than demonstrating in front of the Convention place? It would imprint the connection of foulness with the Convention or KH.
SixScreens & AAWA, and whatever others who like to demonstrate: How about it? Much better tactic, right?

Where's "Iamallcool"?
For ages I kept thinking it had to do with "llamas" until one day I realized the first letter was an "i". That is: "i am all cool"!
Yup, and PunkOfNice's nick sounded French to me as in "Nice" the city, not the adjective "nice"--I'm still not sure how to pronounce that, with a short or long "i" sound.
