So yeah, the counsel not to join social media isn't followed much.

we left eu.

recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.
the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.
anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".
The "Jesus is not the mediator for the other sheep" caught me totally by surprise after I'd been an elder for five years. How I never knew that before was beyond me!
So yeah, many JW's have little clue about many "deep" truths of the Watchtower religion.
A co-worker once remarked that JW's believed in polygamy. "No, that was the mormons" I retorted. And to myself I thought "Hey, that could solve the problem of so many single sisters, wouldn't it?"
i just frightened a jehovah’s witness lady half out of her wits!.
i just frightened a sweet jehovah’s witness lady half out of her wits.... .
she took off like a sprinter at the sound of a starter pistol!.
but there's something there. . . I hope.
The something there on your Lady friend is probably PTSD upsurging ;-)
No, but really... What I find interesting is that you were very upfront with her--you didn't try to mislead her into some sort of 'poztate trap. You told her exactly what your experience had been and your estimation of the WT religion being a "cult".
She could have defended her belief instead of running off. Maybe she felt inadequate about speaking back, not being able to express thoughts in a second language? I dunno, maybe?
Or then again, even though she seems like she was a JW n00b, and quite inexperienced at informal witnessing, her cult mind seems to have taken over and called for a quick retreat to safety away from exposure to anti-cult witnessing.
One thing's for sure, though, Terry, your writing is very vivid and descriptive. You're really developing quite a gift for writing, kudos!
bye... bye.... no more new printing presses for jw.org... the growth is so tremendous (irony...).. all printing work in europe will be arrange in the next month only in selters (germany), but no renovation or upgrading in printing presses is expected... it will be a full outsourcing :).
a worldly company axel s******* will be used.
this company is known to be printing bild newspaper... the interesting part of it is the logistics will be as well outsourced.
There is no way the R&F will see it as any kind of indication that Jehoover is no longer blessing things but I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the GB heavies told the British branch committee they were losing all of this and being relegated to a second tier sorting office. That really would have wiped the smile off their smug, self obsessed faces...
The demise of the once highly esteemed (in JWdom world) and renowned I.B.S.A.

Similar rumors are going around in Facebook.
i'm a middle aged man.
i dated a jw lady for 3 months ., we never had sex, just made out , half naked , well everything except underwear .
she has been a jw for 40 years ., was married to a jw but he committed adultery 13 years ago so they divorced .
I ve never been a fan of revenge , so I guess thats all it would be
How sad to be a part of this , poor people.
Thanks for the advice , I wont go to her Elders then
@DrWho
- If you stay with her and get closer the elders will find out eventually and it will lead to the same.
- If you leave her she'll still be indoctrinated in the cult.
- If you call the elders and spill the beans it may lead to her waking up from the cult.
You can't really win, it seems to me, so why not help her get out of this mind controlling cult?
You're not acting in revenge. In the elders view she's already done the "dirty" by heavy petting, passionate caressing and kissing, and what-not in nothing but underwear.
If the elders ever find out she did this it will lead to the same thing as if you told them what happened. She'll resent you either way. So the sooner it gets resolved and she can start waking up to this cult the better.

Best thing I could think of that you could do to help her wake up from the cult is to call her congregation, ask to speak to a couple of elders on the phone, they like to talk in pairs anyway.
Then share with them that she was putting pressure on you about the religion and you like her a lot, you've made out with heavy petting and fondling to the point of passion, ehem, but even though you like her a lot, you are not happy about the religious pressure and you want to get their understanding on whether she should be ok with just the relationship being sexually and emotionally involved, without bringing religion into it.
The fact that the elders know about her sexually charged encounters with you will start a process whereby she'll have to face up to the ugly side of the religion. It's like pulling back the curtain and seeing who the real Wizzard of Oz actually is.
Give her the jolt she needs. She is either going to reject you for not being a Witness or reject the Witnesses for forcing her to go against her sensual desires. Yeah, it may get ugly and she'll blame you for getting her in hot water with the elders, but if she's really that loyal to the Witnesses that's exactly the counsel she'd give to anyone else in her position.
a must watch!
christian and katja do a hilarious spoof on this year's rc's bunker videos.. (btw the rest of their video commentary is right on and worth the watch, too!).
kudos!.

just thought this might be of passing interest to a few members.
we were unpacking some estate items from a 1930s bethelite and were confounded by his vertical phonograph.
lots of old rutherford books, and some trashed rutherford records, but the phonograph was something to behold.
Pretty clever stuff to peddle Rutherford's religious propaganda.
Even now as in years past the WT likes to use the latest technology for converting and enslaving people into its cult.
(ks10 p11:1) revelation 1:20 depicts jesus as holding the anointed elders in his right hand, thus, by extension, indicating that he controls all bodies of elders for the purpose of accomplishing jehovah’s will.
(re pp.
in the shepherding book it says "holding the anointed elders in his right hand".
(ks10 p11:1) Revelation 1:20 depicts Jesus as holding the anointed elders in his right hand, thus, by extension, indicating that he controls all bodies of elders for the purpose of accomplishing Jehovah’s will. (re pp. 28-29, 136)
In the Shepherding book it says "holding the anointed elders in his right hand". I never noticed before the "anointed" qualifier.
But... Of course they throw in that "by extension" it applies to all BOE's.
I bring this out because I got called into a back-room counselling session where I was confronted with the accusation that I'm quoting a scripture (1 John 5:1) that only applies to the "anointed" and applying it to the "JW-other sheep".
"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God." (1 John 5:1, rNWT)
It seems that the WT is the only one who is free to make NT verses apply to anyone other than the "anointed" (in Greek "anointed" = "Christ").
So... If you quote and apply a scripture to the "JW-other sheep" there better be some sort of specific application in print by the WT or you're going beyond what's written, causing divisions, and turning apostate.
These filthy-lucre-loving Governing Body hypocrites want to make sure that everyone knows they're the "Anointed" (Christs) and teach the New Testament was written only for their benefit, and it is only by extension, that is, when it's to their profit that they allow the scriptures to apply to the JW-other sheep, Rank & File followers.
I'm so sick of this F'ing cult!
