  I agree he comes across as very sincere, hurt and very disappointed.

  What's even sadder is you know he'll have to answer for posting that video. He'll be pegged as a BA (bad association) and marked. And, if he reacts negatively to counsel they might just start a JC to address his "brazen" conduct.

  I feel bad for him. Poor guy!

  Wow! But you know, It doesn't surprise me. I've heard of other Bethel workers being treated like that and much worse. This cult just saps you of your strength and any resources they can benefit from, they're a bunch of vampires sucking the life out of people.

  Demoted from elder to MS, anybody ever heard of this?

  so a friend in a nearby hall told me their co came through, and in a hellish week of long meetings and inquisition overhauled the boe.

  only one remains as elder, three were re-appointed as ms, and one, the cobe was deleted entirely.. two new elders were brought in as new secretary and cobe / watchtower conductor, respectively, and introduced to the congregation from the platform on sunday immediately following his second talk.

  he reminded everybody of the authority he has and then named the new appointees.

  So in this picture we see a CO flying monkey and Wicked Witch Governing Body Momma WT looking at the latest JW Broadcasting Crystal Ball.

  But seriously immediate demotions is something I hadn't heard of. The new elders' book clearly states that if an elder steps down he doesn't have to be an MS before being re-appointed, and if he doesn't meet requirements and is deleted, a substantial time would go by for him to prove he qualified and then BOE may suggest to the CO that he get re-appointed.

  If the elder stepped down for personal reasons and the body of elders didn't feel he lacked in any requirements, yet he asks to serve as an MS instead he may be appointed as MS with BOE support and CO approval.

  Nothing too serious there, the report isn't bad, and probably a whole lot better than a lot of secular companies.

  It's to be expected that the WT would keep the vehicle in reasonably good working order and the brother who drives it would be in dread of ever having a major violation on his record. What, with the layoffs at Bethel and all.

  The poor guys says "Satan takes better care of his people in Christendom?" and "It's below secular standards" how they treat their workers. They started boxing up his stuff and leaving it with his car, that's it "see ya!" He wonders how a person without a car would fair, being let go from a job, room and board and left homeless.

  These strategies are only impoverishing the already over burdened publishers.

  And while the WT may be amassing a lot of wealth, this trend isn't sustainable.

  Eventually there's going to be a lack of growth. Negative numbers in reports would be quite disappointing.

  There's no 1975 to blame this time, so they're going to excuse the lack of growth somehow.

  I can just imagine the abusive paragraphs in WT publications that will badmouth those who are cowardly holding back.

  The only thing I can figure is they're trying to build an endowment big enough that they will not need so many contributions and then make due with a smaller amount of publishers, but publishers who are deeply under the WT spell and profoundly loyal.

  As Splash points out just the monthly theme signage posters could be in the neighborhood of $30 to $40 U.S. dollars.

  Worldwide that has to add up to quite a lot of new revenue for the WT. Money that instead of going toward fuel to drive around in service can now be saved by publishers and spent on other things--I'm sure the WT wants a cut of this too.

  One definite way to get Bethel lawyers and hierarchs freaked out! If the Witnesses dare speak out against Islam or Mohammed there's going to be quick retribution and crack down by the Muslim community all over the world.

  What would really get the Muslims upset would be to have a JW burn a copy of the Quran and it be shown in the news. The WT big-wigs would $h!t themselves.

  In the article on the Guardian ( http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jul/14/jehovahs-witnesses-evangelism-church-god-armageddon ) mentioned in another thread, there's this quote of Mark O’Malley, who is “assigned” to the public information desk at the Jehovah’s Witness UK centre in north London. “We now have more than 165,000 [literature] carts on the streets in over 50 countries. It gives us visibility and availability. It’s something we’re going to see more of, definitely.”

  The number of 165,000 carts in use means there's been a lot of money spent in obtaining these literature carts. How much money does each cart cost the congregation?

  Also each cart needs signage, apart from literature, how much does the signage for the literature carts cost?

  Interesting too that the WT PR person says "It's something we're going to see more of, definitely." This was echoed by a phone answerer at Bethel who said they were distancing themselves from door to door witnessing and focusing on phone and literature witnessing more and more.

  Driving around in service and knocking on empty houses doesn't add money to the WT coffers. But, providing literature carts and their signage could be yet another income stream for the WT. It makes me wonder how much are they profiting from this new venture?
