Angus Stewart tendered this spreadsheet list compiled by his team, he also requested the list mentioned by Morrits (sp?) who preceded O'Brien as Branch Coordinator in writing to the GB, he was told that there is no list in existence just the files, and so what we have so far is this list that he submitted into evidence. -

Extremely difficult situation the .Org is in
by Lemonp inas far as i can imagine, the .org is in a lose, lose, lose situation right now.
if jackson shows to the rc, and policy chages, then bible interpretation was changed sans-holy spirit.
policy change is an admission of guilt, not helpful in future civil court cases.

This organisation has more spin than a plate balancing act.
LOL!!! So true, so true.
I'm sure like with the UN NGO fiasco they'll come up with some lame excuses that the r&f will eat up as you've pointed out, they've got the spin. But its spinning away from them at the moment and Jackson's appearance may bring the plates crashing down.

Angus Stewart calls the JW religion a captive organization
by oppostate inif you watched the questioning of terrence o'brien by angus stewart at day 7 part 3 on youtube--thanks so much for uploading these videos--you'll see that mr. stewart puts quite clearly to brother o'brien that the jw 0rganization is a "captive organization".. he makes this reference regarding the practice of da/df'ing and shunning, which he mentions is the one thing that makes ex-jw's the most angry.
because insisting on shunning ex-members causes psychological trauma and separates people from their family, friends and their community of support; therefore, they are held captive by the organization if they don't want to lose those most dear to them.. i believe angus stewart is to be commended for seeing clearly what the wt/jw religion is truly like in practice, and it isn't pretty.. the term "captive organization" is usually used in finance to mean a business front, a legal veil that shields the parent company from liability and having to make big insurance payouts.
for example if the australian branch gets sued and loses, the "wt australia" corporation will pay the amount awarded by the judge to the complainant.

Mr. Stewart used the term "captive organization" in the sense that people are coerced to remaining part of the 0rganization or else lose their family, friends and any support structure.
However, the term "captive organization" also exemplifies the use of a front company to shied a corporation or other entity from liability. Not what Angus was probably thinking of but it is a financial biz term.

If the GB had any sense they would stop shunning not only because its totally evil and nasty but it would get rid of people that didnt want to be JWs
Of course that's assuming the GB has "any sense". Which obviously it doesn't. They're all about high control and ruling, lording it, over others. The shunning policy is proof that they've set themselves as masters of other peoples' faith.
Bunch of gormless worms! This saying has proved true! They are a bunch of "gormless worms" feeding off of the tasty minds of others held captive in the bowels of this 0rganization.

I believe Angus Stewart is to be commended for seeing clearly what the WT/JW religion is truly like in practice, and it isn't pretty.
The term "captive organization" is usually used in finance to mean a business front, a legal veil that shields the parent company from liability and having to make big insurance payouts. For example if the Australian Branch gets sued and loses, the "WT Australia" corporation will pay the amount awarded by the judge to the complainant. Neither the WT Pennsylvania nor the WT NY nor anyone of the members of the Aussie Branch Committee nor the GB will have to use their own resources in paying out the amount. Yet they are either the policy makers and/or the enforcers.
WT Lawyer Toole and his "female" colleague supposedly have a law-firm business, but this too is a captive. It basically only provides services to the WT corporation. It is a business front held captive by the WT Australia corporation for all intents and purposes.
In fact any of the dozens upon dozens of entities that the WT hierarchy has incorporated are all captives. These serve to shield this religious-business' hierarchy from liability.
The JW religion is definitely all about making captives--whether out of individuals or out of front corporations, it enslaves and sacrifices others for its own benefit, growth and advancement.

At about 1:14 in the day 7 part 3 video we hear the question put to O'Brien that it is a "captive organization:

Dr. Applegate has two weeks to re-do her report, and come up with her suggestions on improvements and not just what the JW's are doing right.
Friday the judge is going to rule in chambers about whether to place the Branch Manual as evidence in its entirety or just selected chapters.
Geoffrey Jackson will be asked by WT lawyer to appear before the Royal Commission and the judge requests he make himself available to give testimony for about two hours.

Since he's a member of the GB he gets to vote on every question of doctrine or procedure in the JW religion.
Then he's a member of three GB committees, writing, teaching and personnel. This specialty would definitely show him to be a person of value to question regarding procedures and the likelihood these may change.

A lot of CO's have indeed stepped down but the reason for this is that they've turned 70 or over this year and Momma WT wants them off their corporate medical self insurance. -

So, I became very ill ... what did my loving brothers do?
by EdenOne inrecently i have fallen ill with a serious case of chickenpox (shingles).
three weeks down, high fevers, and the blisters attacked mostly my scalp and face, but then also my whole upper body.
i looked horrid, truly like a mutant monster out of a nuclear disaster.

EdenOne you brought me memories of the missery of getting over chickenpox I had them the summer after graduating from High School probably the worst summer of my life. I've still got some pock marks to show for it.
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with the conditional love JW's practice. They can't help themselves, they're like animatrons, they've forgotten how to act like human beings, and only feel what they're allowed to as they obey obey obey the WT hierarchy. Best you can hope for is that some of them aren't totally mind controlled and do show some human emotion.
Take care of yourself. I wish you better times ahead. And I like the therapy prescribed by brandnew, it may not cure everything but it sure helps get over life's rough territories.
