It is funny how as soon as someone puts anything critical onto an answer thread it initiates a very hysterical response. It's all lies I tell you. But when you actually look at what was said the facts are generally sound it is only the tone that is critical.
Answers with low ratings are often those that appear the most critical of the watchtower.
I find JWs very frustrating and totally annoying.
my little brother (age 19) just got df'ed and is likely going to come live with me.
the entire family (who are all still devout) know that if he decides to do that, he is never coming back since i da'ed years ago and will set him straight.
my only concern is that he may appeal it to keep from losing the family... he only stayed the night at her house twice got to second base.
Committees have little interest in what did happen only what could have happened . Besides they are of the opinion that two people of the opposite sex left alone together will always commit fornication regardless of age so by staying over twice they probably are convinced he did.
I would discern how your brother feels and whether he is considering returning for family. It is a big thing to be rejected by those you love especially at so young an age. Whilst it would be great if he could wake up to the madness and appreciate that this is bad religion that should have no part in his life he may not be ready for that yet. There are a lot of young ones who go for family and do not truly believe it.
Might be good for him to get some distance from his 16 year old love interest as well.

Apostate stereotype;
they know it's the truth but pride won't allow them to humbly follow god's organisation.
They know they are to be destroyed so want to draw as many as they can out of the congregation

They deserve to die and it is a real pity that the congregation isn't allowed to kill them these days.
Apostates are evil
Just being in the same room as an apostate is dangerous and they can make you leave the organisation with just a few words or a look.
Apostates are worse than paedophiles, murders and any other scum in the congregation.

it has been years since i have seen any jws in this road but this morning when i returned home after buying a birthday gift i spotted two women walking slowly doing the door to door work.. i lamented the fact that they did not call here, my son informed me they had visited the neighbours but had missed us out.
hubby was in the kitchen and had missed them otherwise he would have gone outside and confronted them.
just as i was feeling we had missed an opportunity my neighbour called me to let me know the witnesses were about.
I wonder if there is a whole street down as dncs anywhere that would be funny.

We have a lovely gargoyle on our front step which seems to do the trick as well. And we make sure we have lots of lights during the holiday. Perhaps the frosty response from out neighbours gave them a spring in their step this morning, they probably won't be bck this way for a while.
If he is struggling with his beliefs then it will be a difficult time for him. If he was or is a JW when he was dating you a non JW then he would have been in conflict. His belief system does not allow him to date non JWs. He would have had to have kept your relationship a secret. This is not sustainable in the long term because after a while the non JW is seen to be the start of and cause of all the difficulties and in order to be welcomed back into the fold the relationship must end. Because you are seen as the cause of the problem and because you do not share his beliefs he will not confide in you or ask for your help.It is extremely common for the non JW to be shut out whilst the person seeks to resolve their problems.
If he is vascillating because he wanted a relationship outside the confines of his faith then he is not truly free of it. He may still believe and in that case all you can do is walk away for your own sake and peace of mind. If he no longer believes then that is a different matter. The organisation does not allow anyone a dignified exit. You either tow the line or get out. The guilt and pressure to conform will be enormous to such an extent that if he leaves he can still be drawn back by any sudden trauma in his life.
I would suggest that you set aside any ideas of a relationship. If you want to help him as a person all you can do is ask himn if he wants to talk about it. Don't issue any ultimatums. But the chances are he is already pulling away from you. Assure him you are there as a friend if he needs you.
