I gave up art for a while because being a witness and a mum and working full time meant that I never had time. Now I have restarted my art and thoroughly enjoy it. A day with no creativity in it just doesn't feel right now.
It's never too late.
i think it's wonderful that be all posses creative power of thought, and i think this form of creative manifestation comes most commonley in the form of arts.so many posters have mentiond they are writing a book, but i bet some of you create music or make a wonderful soup.. i ask this because i was reading my old school reports and my art teacher wrote " michael is the post constructive, imaginative pupil i have ever had.
his enthusiasm wonders a bit but on the whole an excellent pupil" ....sadly i think if that statement was true i have rather let my self down with my artistic expression.
still it's never to late and i intend to involve myself in my art again this summer..

hey guys, there's another thing i wanted to share with you.
i know this topic has been discussed over and over again, but it's just so fun to complain about it.
we're going to the district convention this weekend.
The relief I'm feeling right now at not having to go is huge. I wouldhave had to decline as my son can't cope with the heat, cramped conditions, bright light and feedback from the sound system.
does anyone know what was said at the recent ras about jws owning pets?
was it discouraged strongly?
hopefully jw pet owners will tell the organization to f-off!
years ago there was an assembly talk about idolatry. One of the things identified as a potential idol were pets. The message was if your pets prevent you from attending assemblies or going out in the service then you are putting them in Jehovah's place and you are making them your idols.
The same talk also identified celebrities, music and other stuff in the same way.
LV101 sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am mostly self taught certainly in this method. I had to leave art college because the family was struggling financially at the time. I did no serious drawing for 15 years although I did some sketches when I was helping in school and running the art club.
I would love to learn some techniques. As I am sure that it would help a great deal with composition. You should never stop learning.
I have odd vision which means that I only look out of one eye at a time since one eye is long sighted and one short sighted. It sounds odd but I struggle with 3d I don't really see it I have to fake what it looks like.
mark sewell convicted of eight historic sex charges, including rape.

I seem to remember before we left the elders were instructed to clean the congregation df'ing records and get rid of some information relating to deceased etc. As I was a sister I wasn't involved and hubby can't remember what he was asked to do.
It may have been that some congregations used this as an opportunity to get rid of documents that might come back to bite them.
incredible.
absolutely incredible.
so i asked, " isn't it 100 years since 1914 ?
The imperfect men card drives me nuts. It is the bandaid to cover all sins along with the Jehovah will sort it out in his own time.
When my mum uses that I just say to her what makes them any different to any other imprerfect men who think they are doing Gods work. There is nothing that sets them appart at all since although you say they are appointed by holy spirit they still make the same mistakes as other religious leaders and abuse power.
Since you leave it to god who is supposed to judge all men who claim to be leaders of faith then they are no different to anyone else.
The holy spirit is so often asleep at the wheel as to not be there at all.
there is a girl that i like and she has been emailing me recently.
we have not met each other just yet.
she is jewish and she is very involved with jewish organizations, etc...should i be concerned about it?
Religion can be a pretty big deal but at the moment this is barely a relationship. After all the fact that you are not a jew may be a deal breaker for her.
doctor acquitted in post-surgery death of jehovah's witness by kim da-ye.
the supreme court upheld a lower courts decision thursday that a doctor who performed surgery on a jehovahs witness patient without a blood transfusion at her request is not responsible for her death.. .
a 57-year-old doctor, surnamed lee, was charged with occupational negligence leading to the death of his patient who died from complications caused by excessive bleeding during and after hip replacement surgery.. .
The doctor tried to help her but she had restricted the treatments available and died as a consequence. He was not to blame if he had rejected her she would have tried somewhere else and the outcome may have been the same.
My mum had a similar operation without blood and was extremely anaemic after 8 hours on the operating table. This is not a simple procedure for the staff involved. If witnesses accept the risks prior to the operation then they cannot complain afterwards.
most people here have never met you.
we converse, discuss, argue, laugh, agree, question, share our lives..... quite often, you kind of get to know what a person is like.
some people, we tend to gravitate to and others, we shy away from.. how do you think you come across to other people?
Interesting question. I have no idea. I think I am very similar in real life to how I am on here with the exception that I am not a mouse.
how time flies......... ..... and armageddon still hasn't come..
I feel there should be cake. Perhaps tea and cake. Perhaps just tea, put the kettle on.
