  this topic is largely in response to the topic:.

  in one post, i said:one possible reason that both native americans and blacks (then slaves) were treated so badly for so long is that both largely sided with the british in the war of independence.

  i guess countries have some kind of giant collective consciousness that takes a while to change.. .

  While the KKK is without a doubt about racism, Its important to remember they also hated Catholics, and the Irish (just like the british) . So while you had to be white to join the hate was not limited towards only black poeple. I dont think SS was being sympathic to the clan he was just pointing out some history. The legal system of reconstruction dramatically changed the power structure to a more fair way and in attempt to revert to the status quo (unfair prewar laws and standards) KKK was formed to act in extralegal ways.

  My understanding is that if you talk about killing specific people it is a felony. Like if your teachers name is Bob you cant write a how to kill Bob story. But if it is made up of fictional characters then I cant see what the problem is.

  Holiday booked today...Scared of Flying!

  ok so i booked my holiday up today over the internet, going next monday week 1st september to corfu in greece, anyone been there>?.

  also i'm scared sh@tless about flying.

  I have often wondered how people react in Airplanes when they are falling to their deaths. I mean the o2 comes down and if you get that on you will live the whole ride down, and basically from 35k feet you are talking about a four minute plunge. I wonder if any body just completely checks out of reality. I mean having four minutes to dwell on certain death must seem like an eternity in hell. I would hope my mind would put me somewhere else, like convincing myself I was actually on a rollercoaster or something. It would be interesting if a recording from the passenger cabin survived a plane wreck to see what would be on it. I wonder if you would see many people putting their arms up in the air a laughing as they do on roller coasters. The really wierd thing is that sometimes when I get on rollar coasters I wonder if I am really in a plane.

  When men cheat it has nothing to do with their spouse, and everything to do with the man. Some men can be with the most beutifiul, and kind women and will still cheat. So, dont worry I am sure your a 'kick ass' girlfriend and will sone find someone to share you matching bra and panties with.

  My advice would be to give yourself time and continue being who you are, dont change just because of one bad creep. Its a cliche I know but I think its true.

  Doh!!! I loved that movie by the way. I got Homer Simpson memory when it comes to stuff like that. But that was a great movie.

  My other favorite line from a movie was in blazing saddles.

  The sheriff is a nea.....BONG (you either know what Im talking about here or you dont but that scene was hysterical).

  I dont know if this will help but with flying there is only two times to worry about. If you are going to die it will be on take off or landing (usually). So after the first 45 minutes of the flight you can relax until the last 45 minutes.

  • I think the republicans were stupid for hounding Clinton - I said so on this board
