Semi off topic, but anytime I hear "lands" now regarding JWs, I think of Angus Stewart
Love how he cracked on the witnesses with a smirk on his face over their stupid usage of "lands"!
jehovah's witnesses are purportedly 'active' in 240 'lands', quite a remarkable feat for a planet with only about 200 sovereign states (206 if you count all that are recognised by at least one un member, of which jws are present in 166).
more than half of all jws worldwide are in just 10 countries.
over 90% are in 45 countries.. to achieve this mathematical miracle, various places that are not separate countries are counted as 'lands'.. tahiti is counted as a separate 'land' though it is part of the society islands, which is part of french polynesia, which is part of... france.

it seems like the watchtower is still encouraging "theocratic warfare".
in the no.1 watchtower of 2016, they (ironically) printed an article on honesty.here is something they said:"lyingwhat is it?
saying something false to someone who is entitledto know the truth.
Dictionary definitions - hmmm nothing mentioned about whether someone needs to be "entitled to it" first.
my study conductor lectured me about my attitude this morning!!!!
apparently some sister complained to her that my attitude was irritating.
the sister in question is just bothered by the fact that i ignore her along with her four daughters.

the reader must put his heart into it, be absorbed in study of the material, meditate deeply upon it, and seek to benefit from it personally.pr 15:28; 1ti 4:13-16; mt 24:15" this is a fascinating statement from the insight volume.
i accept that "the help of god's spirit is necessary for real discernment and understanding of god's word.
Ironic isn't it?
One of the exercises I did when I was leaving was to apply the things the WTS was writing about other groups/people/organizations to the WTS itself. Talk about an eye opener.
paragraph 12 recommends that we meditate on the weekly reading for the theocratic ministry school.
ok, i'm splitting hairs here.
but there will be no more tms in a week.. somebody isn't keeping up with jehovah's celestial chariot..
I'm sure the WT was written at least 9 months ago, maybe closer to a year.
And what happened this year? Oh that's right, the ARC. And along with that a lot of questions and new requirements are being put out their by progressive governments about "schools". Who can work in them, background checks on people, etc.
I'm 99% convinces the rearrangement of these deck chairs for the mid-week meeting were simply to get the name "school" out of the program, thus an end-around any governmental authority.
and the word is... .
canaanitelike!.
here it is in context, just in case you're curious about how to use this new word.. article: being faithful leads to god's approval.
the 2016 yearbook is now on the official site.
pdf.
it has been added to the archive of all prior yearbooks.
Why they even bother to report the partakers I don't know. They've already demonized them as mentally retarded, and ripped their status as part of the FDS.
What's the point anymore?

Almost double what is was at the lowest point.
all that jesus spoke about in matthew 24 was fulfilled in the first century.
all of jesus' warnings in that passage were relevant only to natural jews.

Well Jesus returned in kingdom glory within the lifetime of his first disciples. Revelation 1:7 features a message John was given to inform first century Christians to behold (Look out for) the then coming King on the clouds.
Or John found some of the shrooms on Patmos, I like that story better.
put aside all the stupid rules, beliefs, doctrines and practices of the jehovah's witnesses.this is one of the main reasons why i stopped attending all meetings!
boredom.
monotone speakers.
I believe their failure to deliver CONTENT over the last two decades is really at the root of what we are seeing now.
People demand to be either entertained, or educated when they are spending their free time. The meetings fail miserably on both counts. I'm not sure how often they are dragging out the TVs now, but I'm sure the troops love at least a few minutes away from the boring drones on stage.
