Our fade-gossip-elders calling
by All for show inlooking back we had been fading without even realizing it.
life happened...and we weren't regular.
then we woke up and have actively been fading for 9 months.

If he wants to show them up have him ask the elders why the sisters have not brought the accusation to him, you know, how you are supposed to to it according to Matthew. Game over. -

Noah's ark
by dothemath infor those that believe in the flood story as genesis says, then they also are forced to accept a huge amount of evolution, way faster than any evolutionist would propose.. from a basic selection of "kinds", to the several millions of land species there are now, and in only about 4000 years.. not to mention the many types of birds that made it to remote islands, and then somehow lost their ability to fly... not even possessing wings( ex- dodo bird, moa).
scientists agree this was a process that took eons of time.. i was thinking of this because we just had a public talk on noah.
i sure couldn't make a fool of myself on that subject, going on how "factual" it all is..

That BBQ point DD made above had escaped me for the longest time. Pretty damn funny when you think about it! -

Feigning warmth and feeling
by stillin inthis is a counsel point in the tms guidebook.
the guy who did the reading last night was supposed to be working on that while he read the account about how jehovah fought the unfaithful isrealites for judah.
jehovah killed 500,000 people that day.

Just another reason for putting a slug in the head of the TMS.
Hard to generate much warmth and feeling when you are reading from the OT.

What Are The Possibilities That The FBI Is Investigating The Watchtower Corporation Because Of All Child Molestation And Scandle
by Brokeback Watchtower ini was just reading this news clip about a mayor from my home town of waterbury, ct how was given a 37 year sentence for raping to minor girls.
the fed were watching him " trying to determine whether giordano was taking bribes from a mafia building contractor, fbi agents learned he was systematically raping the 9- and 11-year old daughter and niece of a prostitute in his office in the city hall.".

Cracked under pressure
by breezy ina big problem i have always had when talking about anything related to jw teachings, is that i get aggravated and frustrated when logical black and white concepts/scriptures are not seen/interpreted in a logical way.
it really frustrates me having to hear '' oh no this does not apply here '' in every scripture that i bring to my parents attention.
starting from when i was 16 to about 20, my frustrations would lead to these anger fits.

Don't be so hard on yourself, it's all ok from what you described. Conversing with a cultist is like repeatedly smashing your head into a brick wall. I don't do it anymore, I admire those that have the tolerance to do so. -

WTF was that schpeel about FWF not knowing when he was baptized? (starts about 7:00 in) Here is the supposed brainiac of the WTS and he doesn't even remember if he was bapped in November of 1913 or April 1914? Then they say he was in his 70s when they asked him so he just "accepted" that it was in 1914??
Not that it really means a shit in the real world, but here these dipshits are tying their entire theology onto this clown and don't even know when "this generation" started??

Jehovah's Witnesses May Have Peaked in Membership at 8 Million (+/-)
by OnTheWayOut ini don't have all the details of their new "service year" numbers, but i have read enough on jwn to state my opinion pretty strongly.. memorial attendance for 2015 was down.while they kept saying they were going to build a bunch of new kingdom halls, and everybody is still in recovery from watchtower taking all the local money away, they say pretty much that there isn't enough money to build new kingdom halls.putting gb members on the videos at jw .
org has allowed people to really put a face and personality to these guys and remove the mystery of how they should be such deeply spiritual serious men.
instead they see silly thoughts about tight pants and, really everything that comes out of lett's mouth is delivered ultra-goofy, along with the money reports.. the gb lost credibility a little more with every new light that shone down, with the strangest one being "overlapping generation.

Their stated goal is to have 3 congregations per Kingdom Hall, worldwide. It's not a secret, they are telling everyone they meet with about their plans.
This will also piss off a lot of suburban JWs, who are within 10-20 minutes of their hall who suddenly have a 30-40 minute drive. I'm sure they will sell off the more valuable property if given the option of two, so then everyone has to go to the shittier property, which will also probably be in a shittier part of town. And its gonna kill serve-us meetings at halls too, meaning more JWs will have to host those in home, which pisses people off too.
Greedy bastards just shooting themselves in the foot once again!

Two cents from me - Now that 2014 has come and gone, some JWs have to be rubbing a few of those brain cells together and wondering why Jesus is asleep at the wheel. 100 years of "last days" makes zero sense of course, so there has to be some churn happening as people come online and figure it all out. Probably no where near what happened after 75, but the effect is there.
Next few years will be very interesting if they do go full on fire sale with the halls they want to close. Fewer halls is going to mean longer commutes. More will start ditching meetings. Less meeting attendance means less indoctrination and more faders.
