Pioneering !

why is 'pioneering' a 'privilege' when every jw goes out in ministry anyway.

even those who have lost privileges, or been disciplined, or been reinstated after being disfellowshipped are still expected to go out in the ministry.

Yes I still am an active JW! And I like to go in field-service! Even more than 50 (or 70) hours/month!

But I simply hate to wear the title of PIONEER!

dont know if i or anyone else has asked this before, but does anyone know how many annointed were supposedly at the last memorial, it seems to be the hidden #.

does that mean they are now the hidden society (said tongue in cheek).

Indeed, students in Gilead learn that the whole Bible (not only Paul's epistles, but they especially) is written exclusively for the "anointed ones". And the other ones are like "the little dogs which do eat of the crumbs falling from the table of their masters" (Matthew 15:27). Maybe some Gilead's graduates here will remember that...

So, it explains Eph 4:4, I think...

i understand that many jehovahs witnesses don't know the history of their own beleifs.

but, what i don't understand is that they always say "god always had an organization on earth.

"they simply just talk about how they use to be called "bible students" back in their early days.

Did you know that David Splane (GB member), started to partake when he was just 17?

w08 1/15 p. 23 par. 15 says: "Still, it would seem reasonable that he would call, not newly converted ones, but individuals who—like the disciples to whom Jesus spoke when he initiated the Memorial observance—have already proved their loyalty to an extent." I doubt that David Splane authorized that article...

I believe it will be changed soon. Soon, the "new light" will say: "It seems that not all 1st century Christians were the anointed ones. Previously we thought that, but now we understand it different ... ...".

I think that an article in WT from March 15th 2010 (One Flock, One Shepherd) prepares the way for that change. Article from February 15th 2008 started to prepare that way. Don't you think so?

Blondie, can you tell me who is that active JW who posts here? I am an active JW too. And, yes, since January 1st, the Yearbook will be on jw.org (audiobook).

Yeah, I understand you. But, you know, you said:

So, if I tried to give you an answer, you don't need to teach me about my "needs". If you can understand the Bible without anyone's help, good for you, but don't teach me about my "needs".

"Wisdom is with the modest ones" says Bible. I believe you know what it means... The modest person (or Organization) is aware of his (or its) limitations. And if we say that we cannot positively identify something that's because we are the modest ones.

No, 2814, it doesn't contradict our work of preaching. By preaching pople get chance to show their attitudes. And, of course, Jesus died for everyone, as you said. He died for everyone "exercising faith in him" (John 3:16).

No, it's not true. We don't claim that "God always had an organization on earth." "Throughout the centuries there have always been truth lovers", and not organization ("PROCLAIMERS" chap. 5 p. 44). To mention just a few of that truth-lovers: John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, Wolfgang Fabricius Capito, Martin Cellarius, Johannes Campanus, Thomas Emlyn, Henry Grew, George Storrs... If they were (we believe they were, but "Jehovah knows those who belongs to him") members of "the wheat" class, they were also members of, what Bible says "faithful and discreet slave" class. They were not members of "perfect and infallible slave" class, so they had some wrong views and believings.

The PROCLAIMERS book continues: " Although we cannot positively identify any of such persons as “the wheat” of Jesus’ illustration, certainly “Jehovah knows those who belong to him.”

I think we said that clearly and honestly, so, you don't have to be worried to much about JW history (Luke 9:62).

A JW attending funerals at a church.

my mother-in-law attend the funeral of her father-in-law (my wife's grandfather on her father's side) at his church (a baptist church).

before we went in the church, she (mother-in-law) told me that she wanted to warn me that if they get into the singing and praising of god, don't be surprised if i see her not participating.

i said, "because of that whole, interfaith thing, right?

I attended a funeral in RC church. Of course, I didn't celebrate a mass together with them (which includes repeating priest's words, saying "amen" and giving a hand to your neighbour...). But, after the Church Funeral, I had nice conversations with my non-JW relatives. I could talk about many Bible scriptures which priest mentioned and explain them.

Finally, I was not "afraid of all the demons that inhabit church..."

Was it www.rong? I believe, not.
