But, in a transparent attempt to avoid accountability for myriad Watchtower failed predictions, the Society has redefined the word "prophet." The Watchtower and its followers contend that as long as you're interpreting something already written in the Bible, then you can't be a false prophet.
What publication is this in? I'd like to read it.

And Mythbuster, you are trying to bust a myth. When anyone says the WT says this, or the GB says this, sola scriptura is not the point in discussion. So why make out that it is? I merely suggested that the GB and any JW uses the principle of SS in understanding the scriptures. Nothing wrong with that. Anyway, this has been fun, my day draws to a close. Cheers

Anytime you say the WT says this, or the GB says this, that is not sola sciptura. Quote the scripture, if it stands alone to prove your point without WT influence, I'm all for it.

Titus, in other words, a person is not obliged to be Jehovah's Witness. Everyone is free to choose their own course. A person is or becomes Jehovah's Witness after a careful study of THE BIBLE, and if anyone has a different opinion to that then it is my opinion that person has not made a careful study of the bible.
Hold on there buckaroo, I went to three different KHs to test out the "we are united in our belief bit" in three different states while travelling. First thing I was offered, What does the Bible Really Teach. You know, A JW book. Then I was asked if I had a bible. So if it's sola scriptura, they fail.

I would like to see some kind of link so I can learn what the other 12 bloodlines are. It would also give this subject some kind of ability to be verified or denied--as I see it, the Jehovah's Witlesses are more of an offshoot of the mid 1800s Wild West cults that tried to predict the end times. Someone came up with 1874 as the end, and that was the forerunner of the witlesses--in 1872.
