Could you please do "Walking By Faith, Not By Sight" next? That is by far my most hated WT propaganda film. Loved you're review of this one. Basically true love means someone who is loyal to the JWs. If they're not "spritual" the relationship will fail. Of course that isn't true but that's how WT presents it. -

New document leaked
by neat blue dog inform for congregation elders to fill out after giving "encouragement", check boxes for "gave a compliment", "read a scripture", "put hand on shoulder", or "other".

You Can Be Happy As A JW If...
by JW_Rogue inyou are delusional.
meaning that you believe everything that the wt says 100% without questioning it all.
you believe there is no other source of truth or valid view points.

You are insecure and need to be reassured that you are doing the right thing on a frequent basis.
Never thought about it like that but it's true. They like to reinforce that it is not actually a waste of time, that all the answers make sense. They set up arguments that they can refute but never delve into the deeper questions that expose the whole thing for what it is.

Loyalty...When Is It Right or Wrong?
by BluesBrother inyou will remember the frequent exhortations to "maintain loyalty" to jehovah..a thinly disguised instruction to never question the wts.
wt (simplified) 7/15 2011 pp10-16.

This organization has never disappointed us and always gives us an abundance of pure waters of truth from God’s Word
This a very odd sentence, they are telling 8 million people how they are supposed to feel. How can they say that no one has been disappointed? Why do some leave if they aren't disappointed by something?

This week's resurrection video, will it backfire on the wt?
by prologos inthe resurrection is supposed to be a joyous occasion?, if it ever happened!
--well, this week's showing at the hall was the opposite, it was about death with violins playing in the background.
a recently bereaved member, , full of tears, (like many others) could not contain herself.

My wife couldn't watch it, got up and left. She didn't want to cry in front of people she felt were not supportive of her during her loss. -

- You are delusional. Meaning that you believe everything that the WT says 100% without questioning it all. You believe there is no other source of truth or valid view points. Truth is absolute and is provided by the WTBS. These delusions make you content because you know in your heart the reward of everlasting life is coming...soon.
- You have many companions. Notice how I said companions and not friends? That's because these spiritual friends know that they would have to dump you at a moments notice if you had an original thought. That's okay though because at least you have gatherings to go to and people to talk to about superficial things.
- You don have any personal ambitions. Giving up a huge chunk of your time to organizational activities isn't really a big deal because you have no personal ambitions or desires anyway. Get a better job? No thanks, too much stress. Hobbies? That's a waste of time. Reading? Only the WT for me!

If death is a natural occurrence in the human species, why are we born with the innate feeling to continue living indefinitely?
by Tenacious inthere are some people that do in fact want to die.
these people include the mentally unstable, emotionally imbalanced, and those suffering from ailments or diseases, just to name a few.. i've never met however, anyone, or heard of anyone, who is of sound mind, who just awoke one day and thought it would be an excellent day to die......naturally.. your thoughts?.

It seems absurd and inexplicable in many ways that evolution is responsible for our insanely complex minds and bodies to so rapidly and perfectly form inside the womb in only 9 months, we are then born and continue to grow for another 20 years, but soon thereafter start to deteriorate and die after only 75-90 years.
Not really in evolutionary terms the most important thing you can do is procreate. Once you have reached maturity and passed on your genes your purpose is fulfilled.

Is the 'growth™' still being hyped?
by punkofnice inwhen i was a member of watchtower corporation, i regularly heard how it must be the true religion because of the growth™.
(phenomenal, apparently).. i wonder if they still hang onto this?
has it been boasted about at meetings recently?

Lately I've noticed that instead of growth the'll say the work is "speeding up". To me this implies that even if people don't respond the message is getting out to more people faster. This is usually when they are talking about technology or the cart witnessing. Not sure if that is really true, even if it is, it is meaningless if no one cares enough to listen. -

The diabolical plan of the WTBTS.
by DATA-DOG indiabolical, or just really dumb, desperate and grasping for control; either way, the devil is in the details of the january 15, 2016 "study edition" of the watchtower tractazine.
so, we have two intertwined articles concerning "anointed" individuals within the sect of the wtbts inc. "the spirit bears witness with our spirit.
" and "we want to go with you people.

Yes, listener they did used to say that when the number of anointed was trending down. It was like a countdown to the GT. Now, that it is going up, it is insignificant and inaccurate. Funny how that works. -

jw.org cart days numbered?
by jookbeard inreading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?
i bet its very minimal.
naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

If you look at the topics from 12 years ago till now its always about... the WT is in decline,... the WT will collapse,.. the WT is desperate,.. the Internet will kill the WT,... the WT has cash flow problems. Still 12 years later the WT is still here,.. is still growing,.. is still alive and kicking,.. is still spending hundreds of millions a year on all kind of projects and stuff,.. is just doing fine and to me it seems they will continue to do so.
You could make the same basic argument about JWs in general. 100 years of Christ's invisible reign, and what exactly has been accomplished? A minuscule following of 8 million out of 7 billion people, no charitable works, not one true prophetic interpretation. Just a bunch of people wasting hours of their lives every week on nonsense. Being manipulated and coerced into growing a new religion. If WT failed tomorrow what would we truly lose? Nothing, because the ORG is all about taking and never about giving.
