A 17th century sailor comes into the truth, shaves his beard (apparently beards will still be bad in the new order), and befriends a mandarin speaking Chinese man. LOL This picture sums up the new WT style, nothing is too ridiculous to say or illustrate. They are targeting those with child like intellects ready to believe anything and everything.
i've been told by a jw friend that when her hall recently had a refurb that big changes were made to the second school.. one, a large sign has been placed on the door telling people not to use it and to sit in the main hall itself.. two,that all the chairs which used to face the large windows looking into the main hall are now side on to the window facing the wall instead.. this is because "so many people were sitting out in there!
people were finding all manner of exhuses to sit-in there and the brothers want us to all be together in the main hall!

you believe there is no other source of truth or valid view points.
You are insecure and need to be reassured that you are doing the right thing on a frequent basis.
Never thought about it like that but it's true. They like to reinforce that it is not actually a waste of time, that all the answers make sense. They set up arguments that they can refute but never delve into the deeper questions that expose the whole thing for what it is.
you will remember the frequent exhortations to "maintain loyalty" to jehovah..a thinly disguised instruction to never question the wts.

This a very odd sentence, they are telling 8 million people how they are supposed to feel. How can they say that no one has been disappointed? Why do some leave if they aren't disappointed by something?

It seems absurd and inexplicable in many ways that evolution is responsible for our insanely complex minds and bodies to so rapidly and perfectly form inside the womb in only 9 months, we are then born and continue to grow for another 20 years, but soon thereafter start to deteriorate and die after only 75-90 years.
Not really in evolutionary terms the most important thing you can do is procreate. Once you have reached maturity and passed on your genes your purpose is fulfilled.
