today, i was hanging out with my girlfriend and we were bored and cold, so we went over to my mom's kingdom hall just to show her what a cult looks like.

i was demonstrating to her how the witnesses use vague, emotion driven speech to try to conjure up the strong feelings in their members so they could control them easier, but i didn't pick this tiny tidbit up.

we kind of listened to the beat of the kingdom melody and we noticed something very odd.... the kingdom songs' cadences are the same rythmic cadences a hypnotist would use to hypnotize a person..

remember these silly tests they make you take?

i don't remember how often they were, but thinking back on them, boy does it seem silly!

sitting there for half an hour trying to remember stupid stuff as if you are in school.

Haha I put my hand up once and answered what I thought was a simple question because it was answered directly in the paragragh e.g. "There will be no more sickness in the Paradise" And the question was: "What won't there be any more of in the paradise?"

Becuase I was about 8 and I thought I was clever finding my own answer without mum or dad telling me if it was right or not, I answered and said: "There'll be no more sickness"

And the elder said: "No, there won't."

And I thought OMG I was wrong......he said NO arghhhh

I didn't look up for the rest of the study

I also wondered why it had all gone quiet when I was little. Becuase I never listened to anything, all of sudden it would go silent and 10 minutes later I would notice and when I asked my mum she just told me to shush because she was concentrating LOL

HAHAH OMG i totally remember these!!! My mum used to call them the Wrotten Reviews because she was rubbish at them. I used to sit and copy my dad when he wrote out his answers coz he didn't even need to "revise" for them. Then as I got older I sat at home on the Thursday afternoon and researched it all with my mum. God knows why no one in our cong didn't just write down all the answers on the paper that they give you (what was that paper called again, with the Theocratic Ministry School items on it??)

i can remember being in the freezing snow and so cold my fingers were numb, i desparatly wanted someone to invite me in, just to warm up even, but no one did.. i got soaked on countless occasions having been dropped off in some remote corner of the territory, trying to find shelter in a thunderstorm.. i got burnt to a crisp in just half an hour in a uk heatwave, of course no one was at home... they were all far more sensible and had gone to the beach!.

Haha yeh I remember going out in the rain, but then my family got pissed off that no other family came out on Saturday morning's when it was wet so we gave up going out too lol

A Sister and a Brother alone

i've been looking in the watchtower library all morning and can't find anything.. i know that jws have this rule (is it unwritten??

) where a brother and a sister should not be left alone in a car, a house, or any private place.

but my jw father says it's not so, and he spent a part of yesterday installing a computer program at a jw couple's house while the man was at work and the wife was at home.

Isn't there loads of this rubbish in the YPA book and on the new video they released.

I'm not sure where it says it in the bible but there'll be loads of WT citations in the Young People Ask book.

Just recieved a mail from an elder

hey, here is a little update on my fade:.

an elder have been calling me for a couple of weeks now... i didnt answer the phone, and after two weeks he stopped calling.

i was releaved... until today... i just recieved a mail from the same elder, telling me that he and another elder wants to visit me - he gave a bs reason about them rearranging the groups in the congregation and wrote they were visiting all the puplishers.

Arrange a time for them to come to your house but have the cops waiting there to arrest them for harassment!!!
