  JWs having Facebook Sex - Strongly warned to get off FB at CA yesterday

  so it appears that jws are letting their freaky side come out on fb for everyone to see.. there was talk on the ca yesterday strongly warning all true lovers of jehovah to delete their fb accounts.

  the talk was solely about fb.

  the speaker mentioned that jws are associating with people that would not associate with in real life, often using the excuse that the person is a relative.

  my votes for worst kingdom melody lyrics: song 125- "jehovah is on my side" (try singing these lyrics without laughing like beavis and butthead): "i know that in this crucial hour my faith will yet be tested/ around me swarms the devil's crowd like bees that were molested/ but i can ever beat them off beneath divine protection/ on those who love to bear his name god sets his deep affection.

  " or how about song 201- "rejoicing with god's nation" (grab your thesaurus for this one): "in a land so good and spacious/ free from strife and things vexatious/ look!

  a happy crowd vivacious/ in god's service that is efficacious.

  When I was still an active elder my wife and I were at house of friends and we made up lyrics to that song something like..."Out in the world they're all dying of Aids; But in the truth we have reason for cheer ...." At the very next meeting it was one of the scheduled songs. All four of us were almost in tears trying to contain giggles like naughty children

  i'm having the whole heaven & hell discussion again w/ the wife...brought up matthew 25:41-46 as proof it exists,then the wife balked & looked to the friends for help.

  the good news is that my wife now respects the fact that i won't read anything printed by the filthy slave, but the fight's still not fair.

  can anyone give me more scriptures of the bible to use?

  Hmm there's the problem right there!

  You have tried to establish eternal conscious torment with debatable proof-texts.

  How about the moral aspect of your position. How do you defend eternal punishment for temporal sin?

  Jehovah's Witnesses - Trained to Argue

  although a cult, jehovah's witnesses should not be underestimated as to their smarts.

  sometimes, exiting jw's, due to indoctrination, feel a lot of guilt for leaving.

  of course, the governing body wouldn't have it any other way.. upon leaving, many for the first time feel a freedom to express themselves, which is as it should be.

  That is a piece of HTML code. It is in comment tags <!-- --> so it doesn't show on a web page its a piece of styling instructions. I suspect anybody who writes their comments in Word and then copies and pastes it may get the same unwanted line in their post. It is very common in comments all over the web and is no indication of any link between the two posters at all, just that possibly they both edit their posts in another programme

  Nathan - beautiful sounds and images, thank you! I was listening to a lecture recently by Lawrence Krauss, he was saying that the molecules in our bodies all came originally from "stuff" from exploding stars. The atoms in your right hand probably came from a different star from those in your left, amazing! Back to heaven and hell?

  i noticed a couple of well dressed men in dark suits passing by my window.

  i jumped up to have a closer look and saw a whole hoard of witnesses in the street knocking on my neighbours doors.

  Is Jesus a liar?

  Maybe, or perhaps bible writers put words in his mouth that reflected their own perverted psyche when the gospels were written decades after the events.

  Or maybe Jesus was deluded with the same fairy tales as his contemporaries.

  Or maybe he is a sick bastard?

  Who knows. Either way nobody who takes this stuff literally can "love" the monster who invented it.

  the watchtower uses sas software.. sas is very expensive, why would the watchtower spend money on it?.

  the organization is theocratically managed so they don't need wordly software.. .

  Nobody could "love" such a fiend with anything even closely resembling any normal definition of love.

  I think christians who actually believe in eternal torment are suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome.
