I found this silver penny. It is from the reign of Edward I (Hammer of the Scots) and dates from 1305/1306.
The inscription on the obverse reads "EDWA R ANGL DNS HYB" which is an abbreviation of EDWARDVS REX ANGLIE DOMINVS HYBERNIE (Edward, King of England, Lord of Ireland). The reverse reads "CIVITAS LONDON" indicating where it was minted.
If you are reading this you are one of the first people to see this coin in over 700 years. That makes my total 5 silver this season so far.

Do as I say, not as I do
by LoveUniHateExams inand so it has come out that shami chakrabarti sent her son first to a prep school then on to prestigious dulwich college.
both institutions feature entrance exams and fees (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3839975/shami-chakrabarti-embroiled-new-education-row-emerges-sent-son-18-000-prep-school.html).
she joins other people of the left who oppose grammar schools but sent their own sprogs to selective, exclusive schools: polly toynbee, seumus milne, diane abbot and harriet harman.

Diane Abbott sent her son to £12,700 per year City of London School. When she was challenged about that by Andrew Neil she replied “West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children.”
Imagine a white British politician excusing their hypocrisy by saying "White mums will go to the wall for their children".

New, but needed to vent- thank you :-)
by Danni Jackson ini discovered your website this morning as i was trying to find some information about 'marking'.
you see a very close friend of mine was 'marked' earlier this week and as i know the ins and outs of the situation (as we are close friends) i disregarded the talk immediately as i know my friend is obviously having issues but is no way a 'danger' to anybody else's spiritual health.
basically they are dating a non-believer- hence the talk.

UK Home Office ‘covered up racism of abuse judge’

I don't know if Dame Lowell Goddard said what is claimed.
It's ironic though that the sole reason 1,400 children in Rotherham were sexaully abused for years was that social wokers and others were afraid to admit that there was a large pedophile ring who were all Asian/Muslim. Apparently anything is better than being labelled a racist.
Having said that I do think it is likely that there has historically been abusers in positions of power.
Butler-Sloss resigned because "her late brother, Sir Michael Havers, was Attorney General at the time of the alleged abuses in the 1980s.
Sir Michael, father of the actor Nigel Havers, reportedly tried to stop Tory MP Geoffrey Dickens from using parliamentary privilege to name diplomat Sir Peter Hayman as a paedophile. He was accused of a "whitewash" after failing to prosecute Sir Peter."

But I will continue in my Bible study and research until I find the one that i believe PERSONALLY , is in line with the Bible and has all biblical teachings - Robert
Hi Robert.
You are making a huge untested assumption that the bible is a valid basis for truth.
I did the very same thing when I left the cult. It took me 9 years to find the intellectual honesty to examine that. Of course I was convinced I had examined it objectively as I am sure you are. I was a born-again evangelical christian for almost a decade. As a former christian who changed my mind for evidential reasons I have information you need. But you have slammed that door shut because you fear losing the foundation of your current worldview.
Let me know if you want to talk about it.

Who has the authority to decern what the bible really teaches?
by TTWSYF inso i ask because of all the books, mags and testimonies that the wts promotes.
not only the wts, but many other christians attempt to speak about the bible with authority.
how do we measure who is an authority if we don't know that much?.

God speaks directly to each of all the time
This is a common - and egocentric - delusion.

There is no such book as the bible.
It is a random collection of books written by multiple authors. They lived in a superstitious pre-scientific world. Some of them had the moral sense of an ISIS warlord. They taught the virtue of genocide, slavery, forced marriage, rape and wholesale baby-murdering.
Arguments about what it all "means" has been the cause of so much hostility in the history of the world. It doesn't "mean" anything.
