This is What I Would Need in Order to Believe
by cofty insometimes theists challenge atheists about what evidence would be required before they would believe.
various unlikely scenarios are offered in reply.
i have taken the bait myself in the past.. i think the correct answer is much more ordinary.

David - I suspect you are taking refuge in Deism.
There is a very clear distinction between deism and theism - Jewish or Christian.
My disbelief is a very well informed one that covers theism in all its guises.

Vidqun - Please justify this statement...
"For those that notice such things, sun is not coming up where it use to. The earth is 25 degrees or more out of kilter."

Vidqun - The following is perhaps the most outrageous lie in history of the internet...
For those that notice such things, sun is not coming up where it use to. The earth is 25 degrees or more out of kilter.
This is what happens when you are committed to seeing the fulfillment of "prophecy" at any cost.

The bible really would contain prophecies that could be verified using objective historical evidence. It wouldn't be necessary to rip verses out of context and interpret ambiguous phrases to try to make details fit post hoc.. - Cofty
Daniel warned of an impending “great tribulation” (Dan. 12:1). Jesus also referred to the Great Tribulation. If the days were not cut short, no flesh would be saved (Matt. 24:21, 22; Mark 13:20). Haggai warns: “Moreover, the LORD who rules over all says: ‘In just a little while I will once again shake the sky[1] and the earth, the sea and the dry ground’” (Hag. 2:6 NET; cf. Hebr. 12:26-29). - Vidqun
Vidqun, thank you for illustrating my point so eloquently.

Any atheists here? Have you come to terms with your new reality?
by kpop inalone, without my safety net of "god" being there to remember me when i die.
after much consideration, examining science, history and using logic, i have come to the conclusion that there is no "god" at least certainly no loving, personal "god.
" shortly before my final conclusion was reached, i read an excerpt from an expression attributed to marcus aurelius, .

My mother recently died......my father and elder brothers didn't even call me while she was in hospice......When I found out a month later, by only the sheer power of the Holy Spirit...... - Perry
Why did the holy spirit let you know a month too late?

I believe that in order to have a useful debate with somebody you should present their position in such a way that they would not want to correct it. From there you can discuss why you disagree.
You do the opposite of that every time.
I spend pages trying to correct your wilful distortions of my position and never make any progress on the actual conversation that matters.

There are just so many examples of strawman attacks, misrepresentations and distortions of my position every single time I engage with you.
I am convinced you are wilfully dishonest for reasons of your own self-aggrandisement. I have no interest in wasting time and energy trying to hold a conversation with you.

The opneing post seems to demand a number of specific things from God in order for us to believe in him:
It does no such thing. I demand absolutely nothing.
Your reading comprehension skills are either very bad or you are just wilfully misrepresenting everything I say - yet again.
