humans supposedly lived shorter and shorter lives, and became more imperfect and sinful.. the further away in time humans go then, they should be getting worse.
so why is it then that as a society, humans have actually improved in so many ways?.

Scotland had its once in a generation vote on independence. They answer was No Thanks.
Time for SNP to focus on governing the country. Brexit is an excuse for Indy2. I know Scots who want out the EU but voted to remain in the hope of avoiding a second attempt by the Nats to divide the UK. Sturgeon said she would demand a second referendum regardless of the deal we negotiate with Europe. It's nothing but petty anti-English nationalism.

Lib Dems, SNP, Labour they are all shambolic. Good government requires strong opposition. Corbyn is a bad joke.
Brexit is happening. They should accept that and concentrate on holding the Tories to account.
I think the government will be returned with a strong majority.
By the way USA this is how to do an election. Six weeks from the starting gun to election day. The new government takes office the following day.

A senior NK government minister has stated today that if the USA take any military action at all they will react with a preemptive nuclear attack.
Catch 22?
China holds the key. NK depends on China for most of its food and fuel. Further sanctions would result in more civilian suffering but the alternative is much worse.

Bohm I agree with your observations although some analysts are not as optimistic as your estimate of 5+ years.
I have no idea how you do diplomacy with Kim Jong-un. China will have to step up. If NK carry out a sixth nuclear test - any day now - then China be forced to make a stand. Will Kim Jong-un listen to them?
NK must be prevented from having nuclear weapons at any cost but that cost might be massive.
