i was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.

does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?

or is that just my wishful thinking?

I intended my words to be literal not hyperbole.

The cult has done tremendous harm. Thousands of unnecessary deaths based on a facile interpretation of scripture. Countless family relationships broken by their cruel shunning policy. How many lives harmed by being denied access to higher education and decent careers? Many hundreds or even thousands of victims of child abuse silenced and denied justice.

Anybody who knows about these things and remains part of the cult gives tacit support to oppression.

DY - Your position is not morally neutral. You are giving your tacit support to an organization that does tremendous harm.

Don't think you are a passive observer of oppression.

Refusing to fight is morally deplorable.

There would be no war to start with, that's what would happen.

Meanwhile back in the real world, populated by actual humans, bad people need to be shot in order to protect good people. JWs are moral infants and cowards and it looks as if you have never got over that.

i've had the misfortune to encounter quite a few mummies boys in the cult.

men aged 20-40 who although in men's bodies think,act and behave like children.

their mother's had them tied to the apron strings tightly.

I think the cult doctrines are more likely to lead to young men who think they have a right to dominate their wives and women who are disempowered.

The thing about the cult is that is contains the entire spectrum of traits from mummy's boys to bombastic bullies.

JWs have no personality types in common.

All told, of the 28 remaining global conflicts of all kinds being tracked by the council, 22 involve an Islamic state or faction...

According to the author of this article in the Boston Globe the reason for this is may be due to the lack of democracy in Islamic countries. One thing he is sure about is that we should immediately dismiss the idea that Islam is inherently more violent.
