I would like to say what I agree with about the Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs and practices
...and Mussolini made the trains run on time.
i attended my first jw meeting recently.
first, i would like to say what i agree with about the jehovah's witnesses beliefs and practices.. 1. they don't consider israeli's as "god's chosen people" and they don't worship israel as some holy land filled with righteous jews (although there are some there) as most so-called "christians" (christian zionists) erroneously believe they are instead of the "hypocrites" and "vipers" that it is actually filled with.. 2. they don't celebrate "holidays" like easter and christmas which are, in fact, remnants of earlier pagan practices.. 3. they don't put nation before god and christ.
they don't believe in war or going to war because of some crazy government/cia secret agenda.

not being a witness has been a plus for my sex life.
.
what about you!
Go Stan!
so, apparently, there is an organization which provides structure, curriculum, etc.
for home-schooling of jw kids:.

Very fair comment ^^^
The website stresses that they are not about homeschooling. They pretend to be a real school where every child's home is a campus.
The standard of the information on the website is dreadful. It looks like the whole project is completely amateur.

I browsed their website; it is appalling!
Here is a comment - I presume from one of the parents - who ironically calls themself 'top au writers'. What chance do these children have?
so i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.
i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.
i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.
There are different views about panpsychism. Some seriously suggest that rocks and chairs are conscious. That is not a strawman or an exaggeration. If you think that this version of panpsychism is bullshit then you are at opposition with leading voices in the movement.
Others posit that only complex aggregates of materials have conscious experience.
All of it is unscientific, untestable and unfalsifiable.

It appears that you can only tolerate 'panpsychism lite'.
Full-blooded panpsychism pushes your bullshit meter off the scale does it?

So you want to promote the article about panpsychism but you also want to dismiss the clearly stated views of the lead source.
Okay.
“Rocks will be conscious, spoons will be conscious, the Earth will be conscious. Any kind of aggregation gives you consciousness.” - David Chalmers, a philosophy of mind professor at New York University

Your right Tononi suggests that IIT lends credence to panpsychism but the quote you just posted says the exact opposite of the conclusion you came to that 'rocks and humans are fundamentally different in terms of consciousness'.
I'm bored with this. It is a non-scientific fantasy. If anybody ever comes up with a shred of evidence let me know.
