we all know waking up from the cult and trying to leave is a very scary and life changing experience.
for many it's traumatic and few find the transition easy.
we have to deal with families cutting us off entirely or keeping us at arms length at best, lies being told about us by the organization, ex members gossiping about us and finding ourselves in a world very different from what we're prepared for.. for this reason, i've decided to start writing a self-help book informing jws of what to expect when they leave the org.
Fantastic idea!
in the aftermath of the valentine's day school shooting in florida, i have read quite a number of articles, blogs and posts about the event.
it is disturbing--and i think inexcusable--that many people take the opportunity to use horrible tragedies such as this to push their own particular agenda.. in particularly insensitive and tone-deaf tweet, conservative political commentator tomi lahren wrote: "can the left let the families grieve for even 24 hours before they push their anti-gun and anti-gunowner agenda?
my goodness.
i think this would be a noble endeavour..
Popularity threads are ridiculous.
i have yet to read about the contradictions in the jw teachings on blood, but i have personally witnessed one.
i am a medical professional and have seen hemopure administered for an active jw who did refuse a blood transfusion.
its not fda approved here, but given in special life saving circumstances.
You are right it is completely irrational.
I think the GB have backed themselves into a corner. They cannot retract on their basic doctrine that blood transfusions are against god's law but they are trying to do everything to find loopholes to reduce the death count and the legal exposure that comes with that.

Utah teacher shoots herself in the leg while at school.
Just before 9 a.m., Michelle Ferguson-Montgomery accidentally discharged her gun while using a faculty restroom at Westbrook Elementary School in Taylorsville, the principal said in a letter to students’ parents. The incident occurred before school hours, and no children nor staff were present. The teacher was in legal possession of her gun on school property...
It's time to bear the cost of properly armed and well trained guards at every school in the USA. Then get on with working out how you got to this state and what can be done if anything.
the watchtower company and the jdubs talk so nonchalantly about the year 1914, the year they say jesus became king in the heavenly kingdom.
they talk about the year like it was just a short time ago.
the invisible king began ruling in the invisible kingdom.
Thank you ^^^

Don't forget it was the generation of people old enough to observe the events of 1914 until the cult lost its nerve and changed it to those born in that year. Fourteen years old in 1914 was the generally accepted limit. That would make them 118 now.

That teachers who are ex-military can't carry guns or even keep them in a nearby drawer
Loaded guns in drawers in schools. Genius!
Happy birthday!
