The nation state gives us stability, it puts a lid on tribalism and has allowed e.g. us Brits to advance culturally, economically and advance our technology and knowledge ...what I want is for nations to have mutually beneficial relationships and business deals. - LUHE

1) the fact that the most influential political establishment of that time (roman empire) was convinced that jesus’ name would sell to suit their political agenda (to promote slavery) shows that jesus was as historical as roman empire itself; hence they implanted slavery-friendly verses into the bible as though spoken by jesus (such as mathew 5:39, 41; 24:45 ..etc) this was in contrast to the real personality jesus really was—he was a man of courage, who ‘walked alone to do what is right if those invited refused to accompany him.’ when his family and disciples were fond of sleeping, his delight was to spend early morning hours alone, in meditation, with god to the extent he could say he was “one” with qualities of god.
(mark 1:35; john 8:1, 2; 10:30) such a person would naturally be too famous and too crowd-pulling against whom even the influential people were helpless even when they were whipped out of the temple which reminds us of “hollywood rambo style” merely because of his moral authority (not that he had any supernatural powers to perform miracles).. 2) similarly, emerging religion (apostate christianity) too knew they could misuse the name of jesus to serve its commercial agenda.

That Asaad has used chemical weapons indiscriminately against his own people on multiple occasions is beyond dispute - well that's not entirely true. Asaad, Putin, Corbyn and SBF will deny it of course.
The latest attack came from barrel bombs launched from a helicopter. The rebels have no access to helicopters.
Russia is a permanent member of the UN security council and as such has an obligation to take action against governments who use banned weapons. They veto all resolutions to that effect every single time.
International inspectors were kept away from the site of the latest attack by Asaad's security forces for almost a week after they arrived in Syria. By now all evidence of chlorine will likely be removed. They will in any case be unable to say where the attack came from, only whether scientific evidence of a chemical attack was detected.
The UK, USA and France did the right thing. It was almost certainly futile in the long term but it made a point that had to be made.

The UK has just spent tens of millions of pounds dropping highly sophisticated weapons on Syria's chemical weapons facilities in defense of helpless citizens. Not one person was injured or killed. Not one.
For a few thousand pounds we could have bombed the general area around the facilities with the same strategic outcome. We didn't. Neither did the USA or France.
Contrast and compare with Bashar al-Assad who has, on dozens of occasions dropped barrel bombs of chemicals on his own men, women and children aided and abetted by Putin and Rouhani.
Don't tell me there is any moral equivalence.
