  i know we often talk of the mind control and how jw's believe what they are taught because they are controlled as to the information they receive, but i think the mind control goes frighteningly beyond simply keeping information away from them.. the jw mind is in lockdown.

  it simply cannot accept facts, evidence, reasoning or whatever that goes against what they believe.

  they cannot assimilate and consider an argument, it is not that they are being awkward, or willfully blind, their minds are so shut down they are incapable of taking in what is being presented.. i am aware of how, in common with other cults and high control groups the j.w org achieves this state among its members, but how on earth do we open such a solidly closed mind ?.

  One of the problems you are up against is that JWs will always assume that unloving actions are the fault of 'imperfect' elders. If only the GB knew what was really going on they would put it right.

  The same thing happened under Stalin. He was personally behind the atrocities committed in the USSR but the people blamed lesser officials and wrote letters of appeal to him.

  That is why I think both emotional appeal and facts are important. When bad things happen the mental shields come down and doubts flourish.

  No. Russia has the power of veto which it uses every time the Security Council tries to pass a resolution against her evil cronies such as Asaad.

  The U.N. has shown time and time again to be a toothless tiger. How many times have U.N. 'peacekeepers' had to stand by helplessly and watch tyrants murder helpless victims?

  jesus was a real and historical person (not the way jws or the rest of the people think him to be) because of the following historical facts:.

  1) the fact that the most influential political establishment of that time (roman empire) was convinced that jesus’ name would sell to suit their political agenda (to promote slavery) shows that jesus was as historical as roman empire itself; hence they implanted slavery-friendly verses into the bible as though spoken by jesus (such as mathew 5:39, 41; 24:45 ..etc) this was in contrast to the real personality jesus really was—he was a man of courage, who ‘walked alone to do what is right if those invited refused to accompany him.’ when his family and disciples were fond of sleeping, his delight was to spend early morning hours alone, in meditation, with god to the extent he could say he was “one” with qualities of god.

  (mark 1:35; john 8:1, 2; 10:30) such a person would naturally be too famous and too crowd-pulling against whom even the influential people were helpless even when they were whipped out of the temple which reminds us of “hollywood rambo style” merely because of his moral authority (not that he had any supernatural powers to perform miracles).. 2) similarly, emerging religion (apostate christianity) too knew they could misuse the name of jesus to serve its commercial agenda.

  That Asaad has used chemical weapons indiscriminately against his own people on multiple occasions is beyond dispute - well that's not entirely true. Asaad, Putin, Corbyn and SBF will deny it of course.

  The latest attack came from barrel bombs launched from a helicopter. The rebels have no access to helicopters.

  Russia is a permanent member of the UN security council and as such has an obligation to take action against governments who use banned weapons. They veto all resolutions to that effect every single time.

  International inspectors were kept away from the site of the latest attack by Asaad's security forces for almost a week after they arrived in Syria. By now all evidence of chlorine will likely be removed. They will in any case be unable to say where the attack came from, only whether scientific evidence of a chemical attack was detected.

  The UK, USA and France did the right thing. It was almost certainly futile in the long term but it made a point that had to be made.
