  You are confusing 'methodological naturalism' and 'ontological naturalism'.

  Anders has explained to you above why resorting to supernatural explanations is the opposite of science. 'god-did-it' is a lazy non-answer to all questions. The task of science is to find naturalistic answers - this is 'methodological naturalism'. Scientists who are also committed christians also follow this principle.

  However this does not require that scientists presume 'ontological naturalism' - the position that supernatural explanations are impossible. The point is that no such explanations are necessary to explain any feature of biological evolution.

  I will get to your extremely muddled second post later this evening. So many scientific misunderstandings!

  My son graduated last Friday

  he is now a graduate from mit!.

  it was a lovely weekend.. i got to meet some of the friends he has made in the past four years, and some of their families.. they were very nice, decent, friendly, and enjoyable people.

  The OP summarises a very powerful piece of evidence for the common descent of all living things and you would rather deflect attention by waffling about semantics.

  I used to be an ignorant (not pejorative) creationist too. Then I spent many years educating myself. If you ever decide to do the same let me know and I promise to help you.

  in 2015 it passed an 'islam law' prohibiting foreign funding of religious groups and creating a duty for muslim organisations to have 'a positive fundamental view towards state and society'.. many mosques in austria have continued to receive money from turkish muslim organisations so the new right-wing government have decided to enforce the law.

  seven mosques have been identified for closure and 60 imams are to be either deported or refused visas.

  The Freedom Party (FPO) is indeed on the far right with historical links to German National Socialists. It recently took 30% of the vote in Vienna.

  The problem is that if centrist parties refuse to deal the problem of Islam's refusal to live in the West according to Western standards of social freedom the far-right will flourish.

  Hooby - In the context of the page you posted as evidence Alaya is using the word to refer to scientists who specialise in the field of molecular evolution. You used it in a pejorative sense to refer to anybody who accepts the fact of evolution.

  Virtually all scientists are 'evolutionists' in the second sense of the word as you used it, but only a percentage of those are 'evolutionists' in the first sense as Alaya uses it.

  It is a silly descriptor in the way you use it. Should somebody who accepts the fact of gravity be labelled a 'gravitaionalist' or should scientists who don't believe that the solar system revolves around the earth be called heliocentricists?

  My OP is a summary of a news report from Reuters for which I provided a link.

  The phrase 'positive fundamental view towards state and society' that you are making such a fuss about is cited in the article. When you made a point about the phrase it took me about 3 minutes to go to the Austrian Government website, find the 'Islam Law' and get the context which you could have done for yourself.

  The OP has nothing to do with the Watchtower.

  I didn't word it - Austrian law worded it.

  The test for 'a positive fundamental view towards state and society' is any threat to public order or security. JWs have never endangered public order or security. Phrases cannot be plucked from laws without context.

  This is true for all Religious Societies. Teachings, institutions and customs are not allowed to contradict statutory rules. The Religious Society must have a positive basic attitude towards society and the state. The recognition can also be revoked, especially if the Religious Society does not have a positive basic attitude towards the state and society (any more), respectively public order and security would be endangered.
