Evolution is a Fact #1 - Protein Functional Redundancy
by cofty ini intend for this to be one of a series of bite-sized ops on the evidence for evolution.. introduction to dna genes are sequences of dna made up of words (codons) each of which are three letters (bases) long.
there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.
there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

No not really. It's only been worthwhile if you (or somebody else reading this) have learned something.
Why don't you genuinely commit to studying the scientific case for evolution? It's clear from your posts that you haven't ever read any science books.
I could have left this series of threads after this very first one. It proves common ancestry beyond all doubt. But I wrote another 39 threads just to make sure there was no room for doubt...

Here is what you have still not attempted to explain 28 pages later...

Therefore the burden of proof rests upon you
I have more than met it over 27 pages.
Comparison of cytochrome C proves common ancestry. I can't go on explaining it forever. I have simplified it and illustrated it as much as possible.
Do you understand the gulf between prokaryotes and eukaryotes? I have explained the evolutionary link between the two on a previous thread. The topic of this one is ubiquitous proteins in eukaryotes.
Do you need me to explain why the diagram you posted is exactly what evolution would predict?

Don't think my picture is showing on the previous page so I will try again...

Do you understand why or do you need me to spoon-feed you again?

Bacteria don't have mitochondria!
We are talking about comparison between cytochrome C amino acid and nucleotide sequences in eukaryotes not eukaryotes and prokaryotes..

One aspect of the Bible I still greatly benefit from
by Ireneus inthough many things in the bible do not make sense to me, there is something in it that makes my life easy.. this is how i arrived at it.
bible defines god as the servant of his children because he makes provisions for the enjoyment of life in abundance (mathew 5:44-47) and ‘renews’ them if need arises (mathew 19:28) with no intervention whatsoever in between which means he is not interested in gratitude/worship from his children.
yet history shows that people forget him in happiness and remember him only in distress which means he is not given love (though he is the giver of love), and he is not bothered of it.

Cofty, intellectual honesty leads to Strong Agnosticism, not Atheism - Order
I disagree. An 'agnostic' is just somebody who is confused about what the question is.

1. The assertion by evolutionists that a creator would not have created life the way that it exists. - Hooby
I have made no such assertion in connection to DNA and amino acid sequences of cytochrome C. I didn't respond to it because it has nothing to do with the topic.
There is no other possible interpretation of the evidence other than common ancestry and unguided evolution by natural selection over millions of years.
You can keep making vague references to something you think you once read somewhere that might have some ambiguous connection with the topic but that inconvenient fact isn't going away.
Why are the amino-acid sequences of humans and chimps identical but a bit different from other mammals, more different from fish and more different yet from yeast?
Why do these differences exactly reflect the evolutionary family tree?
