  Niknak how is that different from wishful thinking?

  Every religion and cult depends on faith rather than facts. All of them can cite amazing experiences and feelings. Are they all true?

  God is only hidden to those who are hard hearted

  Is 'hard-hearted' what you call people who respectfully ask for objective evidence?

  we all know that jw who would still believe if tony morris killed a baby on the roof of wallkill and put it on the internet.

  for those people will there come a time when they will see or do you think someone so deep in a cult will never come to realize its all a lie.

  I think they will continue to suppress doubts until something happens that causes them to feel personally hurt.

  Often that is the moment when we allow ourselves to entertain negative thoughts.

  Subtle efforts to feed doubts in advance can pay off eventually.

  I have no respect for faith that pretends to be based on scientific evidence.

  Don't insult us with fairy stories about 'eucharistic miracles' just have the balls to say you believe despite all the evidence against the dogma because it makes you happy to do so. I could respect that.

  a high court judge has ruled that doctors can give a sick five-year-old girl from a jehovah’s witness family a blood transfusion.. the little girl’s parents said their religious beliefs would not allow them to consent to a blood transfusion.. but they said they would not object to a judge making the decision.. mr justice hayden was told that the little girl was in a “grave” situation and could die or suffer a stroke if she did not have a transfusion.. the judge analysed evidence at a public hearing in the family division of the high court (pictured) in london on wednesday after hospital bosses asked him to make a decision as a matter of urgency.. he said bosses at the leeds teaching hospitals nhs trust had responsibility for the girl’s care and had made the application.. he said the girl was being treated at leeds children’s hospital.. the judge heard evidence via a telephone link to the hospital.. a specialist told mr justice hayden that the little girl was suffering from sickle cell disease, an inherited blood disorder, and that her condition had deteriorated.. .

  Do You Have A Negative Outlook Because You Were Once A JW?

  it could be argued that exjws have issues in life simply because they were jehovah’s witnesses at a point in their lives.

  .

  do you think you or we are fairly normal considering we were jehovah’s witnesses or do you think we have a lot of baggage because we are a bit messed up ( even if we don’t even know it)?.

  As an ex JW there often remains the bad habit of being on the look out for the bad or for evidence that things are getting worse

  A feeling of angst is the sine qua non of all committed JWs.

  The question is whether that is created by the cult or does it just exploit people who already have that personality type?
