Rub - Are you proposing that all western powers leave the Middle East to its own devices?
How long would it be before Israel was attacked?
Do like having fuel for your car and for the wagons that bring food to your local store?
good move or bad?

i'm going to be the first and throw this out there for others but, from careful study of the scriptures i've found a loophole that even adam who was perfect at the time missed!
i'm sure everyone has heard the conundrum about ,"can god create a rock he can't lift?
" and if he can't create one he can't lift, then god cannot do everything" well that doesn't really matter since we know jehovah says himself he cannot lie right?
There is no Satan in Genesis. In fact there is no Satan pre-exile. The Jews adopted dualism from the Zoroastrian religion during their time in Babylon.
In Genesis it is just a talking serpent with legs.

i don't know if this topic has been covered before - it might 've been.. i also recommend flipper's excellent music thread ('what songs have you been listening to?
', or similar).. but, i'd just like to start a thread about certain songs giving me goosebumps.
y'know, when you hear a song that profoundly effects you in some difficult-to-describe way and the hairs on your arm stand on end even though the room temperature's comfortably warm.. so, which songs give you goosebumps?.

I really don't buy the line that feeding the 'military industry' is a motive for war. I think the motives are far more idiosyncratic and ad hoc.

Miles Davis - 'Flamenco Sketches' (alternative version) on Kind of Blue.
Play it in the dark. The horn 10 seconds in will blow your mind. I listened to it late one night in a hospital bed with ear buds. Changed my world.

It was morally justified - Soleimani was a monster and an implacable enemy - but time will tell if it was wise.
The backlash will be fierce and I don't trust President Trump to handle the escalation calmly.
Contrary to the propaganda many Iranians will be euphoric that he is dead.
she certainly is passionate about climate change.
🤔.
Thanks for taking the time to type that out Earnest.
It seems to show that Greta's obsession was not initiated by her parents. I feel a bit sorry for them. She is not a well child. She may be enjoying the international acclaim right now but I would fear for her future more than I fear for the planet.
Environmentalism is a secular religion. Greta is being beatified as the patron saint of the green movement. What is needed is a rational conversation about what will actually make a difference and what is realistic not the endless virtue signalling, hysteria and tokenism.
hope you are all well,.
i was wondering within the organisation if there are any guidelines or grounds for nullifying a baptism.
see i grew up a jehovah's witness and was baptised at age 13, i didn't get baptised for the right reasons, i felt pressured to because my friends were getting baptised at the same time.
Maybe if you talk to them and explain that you never believed a word of it, you were too young, you only got baptised to please them and there is zero chance of you ever coming back they might take a pragmatic approach.
Officially they would be breaking rules but it's not unknown.
Edited to add - Don't let the emotional blackmail influence you into going back to please them. That's only postponing the inevitable.

Hi welcome to the forum.
When I was an elder 25 years ago there was no provision for annulment of baptism. I strongly doubt anything has changed since. Sadly the organisation pressure youths to get baptised specifically so that they can exert some control over them and make leaving a costly decision.
Are your parents taking a hard line? Sometimes parents are willing to maintain some contact with DFd children as long as they don't see you as a threat to their faith. Other's are unwilling to compromise. It's shameful cultish behaviour but at least you got out when you still have time to enjoy a good education and career.
