this period of crisis seems endless and absolutely weird but end it will.. in the mean-time people are working successfully from home, the skies have cleared, international meetings are held on line.

lots of frustrating commuter journeys are just not necessary.

the world is cleaning itself almost visibly in days, the skies are clearing.

background info: although i'm an apostate, i don't hate jehovah's witnesses, or the organization itself.

actually i find that many derogatory comments here are extremely biased.

i think most of them are amazing people, and i wish more non-witnesses were like them.

I think one of the errors that the Watchtower has made is to denigrate the role of Jesus. I am convinced that the trinity is a post-biblical invention but it is also clear that early christians had a very different relationship with Jesus than modern day JWs.

In summary - The apostles described themselves as witnesses of Jesus, they called him their only owner and Lord, and the one to whom they belonged. They were baptised in his name, led by his Spirit, rejoiced in his blessing and overflowed with praise for him.

the advisory committee on dangerous pathogens (acdp) is also of the opinion that covid-19 should no longer be classified as an hcid.

Coronavirus Positive

hey all,.

i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

why is another version of coronavirus being portrayed like it's the Black Death, and the world brought to a virtual standstill

Because unlike the flu there is no vaccine, treatment or herd immunity. Even if death rates are equal to the annual flu many many more people will get it if we don't isolate for a while.

FallGuy - Ike is so far off the scale of insanity that it is reasonable to totally dismiss anything that comes out his mouth without a second's thought.

He has a long history of lies and self-serving deception. He literally claimed that the Queen of Great Britain is a lizard - he was NOT being ironic.

There is much we don't yet know about the Chinese Plague but choose your sources wisely.

Ferguson did predict that if we did absolutely nothing then the death toll could be in the hundreds of thousands. He has not backed down from that but we have taken action and hospital admissions are growing linearly rather than exponentially. If that continues to be the case then everybody who needs ICU support will get it and lives will be saved.

When this is over I reckon death rates will be less than 1%

American politics seem to be so partisan that conversations always generate more heat than light.

I seek out Conservative and Liberal American podcasts. Clever and funny people on both sides.

The idea that others might disagree with your political views but still be decent and intelligent appears to be forgotten.

I shudder to imagine the anger after the next election whatever the outcome.

Covid 19 - expert says it's hype!

having commented earlier on experts' differing views, here's a prominent german physician/politician - wolfgang wodarg - who made controvorsial statements that the coronavirus "pandemic" is not out of the ordinary and that italy's mortality rate (8,215 deaths from coronavirus so far) is no greater than it would normally be from the 'flu virus.

in 2017/18 approx 18,000 italians died due to the flu.. the wikipedia section - controversial theses in the 2020 covid 19 crisis - is worth examining.

Interesting article I read last week that spoke about the importance of initial 'viral load'. People who get infected after a small exposure tend to do well and have little or no symptoms.

People like doctors or family members of infected patients who get prolonged exposure in the early stages tend to do badly.

This might explain why doctors are falling victim. Also if somebody you live with gets infected avoid them like the plague!
