  My advice would be to ignore Sea Breeze's advice.

  He has made the same mistake I made when I left the Watchtower. I assumed the fundamentals of my faith must be true and spent 10 years as an Evangelical Christian.

  Far better to take all the time you want to really dig deeply and learn all the things about the bible, faith and science that you have been denied previously. There are many people here who can help you with all the questions you might be wrestling with. Don't 'jump out of the frying pan into the fire'.

  Putin foolishly assumed that the people of Ukraine would welcome his troops. He is a Eurasian nationalist ideologue.

  You don't have to love Zelensky to support Ukraine's right to territorial integrity. Why should they give up one yard of their country to a bully?

  Some people in this forum seem to be disciples of the Neville Chamberlain school of international relations.

  sadly, jehovah's witnesses depend on their religion to save them, and the bible does not point to religion as a saving point for salvation.. the video message below shows from the bible that for salvation, jesus paid it all for you.. are you saved?.

  If I remember correctly JW Answers subscribes to a Calvinist version of xtianity.

  This includes belief in 'double-predestination' whereby god decrees in advance (before any human existed) who will have faith and be 'saved' and who will not have faith (the reprobates) who will be damned to the fires of hell for all eternity.

  Has there ever been a more evil dogma? You can 'dislike' my previous comment all you like but you identify yourself with some depraved ideology.

Remember that every word that is published is first approved by members of the GB.

  It's easy to miss because of the way they talk about themselves in the third person and use the first-person-plural to refer to their audience. But try rewriting it in the first person and see how clear their pomposity becomes.

  Consider these two examples...

  That faithful slave is the channel through which Jesus is feeding his true followers in this time of the end. It is vital that we recognize the faithful slave. Our spiritual health and our relationship with God depend on this channel.” - Watchtower, July 15, 2013 p. 20-21

  Which, from the perspective of the author is to say ...

  I am the channel through which Jesus is feeding you in this time of the end. It is vital that you recognise ME. Your spiritual health and your relationship with God depend on ME.”

  Or...

  “We need to guard against developing a spirit of independence. By word or action, may we never challenge the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today. On the contrary, we should cherish our privilege to cooperate with the slave class.” - Watchtower, November 15, 2009 p. 14

  Again, the author actually means..

  “You need to guard against developing a spirit of independence. By word or action, may you never challenge ME. On the contrary, you should cherish your privilege to cooperate with ME.”

  These are just two of hundreds of similar quotes that demonstrate their manipulation and control techniques. Do not be fooled it is deliberate and cynical.

  It is also beyond my ken how intelligent adults can allow themselves to be spoken to in that manner.
