They have always stated that the blood ban was a matter of principle based on the symbolic value of blood and nothing to do with medical safety. Of course if you quiz a JW about blood they will be unable to explain the principle and witter on about how dangerous blood is.

Prediction: I think the Blood Policy is about to change.
by underground ini’d like to start out by saying this is my opinion.. i believe that the organisation is about to make blood transfusions in any form a conscience matter.. they will still ban the eating of blood.. they will gaslight everyone by talking about how it is so much safer now.
and will say something along the lines of how our stance protected us from the aids crisis etc.. and i believe this change is going to happen before the annual meeting 2024.. i think the annual meeting will announce they are scrapping the midweek meeting and instead we get to watch a streamed talk at home through a revamped website similar to the way netflix works.. obviously take my opinion with a hefty pinch of salt..

The Sickening Sadism of Christianity
by cofty inburning heretics alive was a common practice in medieval europe.
i cannot begin to imagine the depravity of the mind that invented this cruelty, let alone the inhumanity and callousness of those who carried out the act.
sometimes an individual would take pity on the victim and hide gunpowder among the wood faggots to hasten their death.. there is only one way to make this scenario even more depraved, infinitely depraved in fact; and that would require magic powers.

If a christian doesn't believe in eternal torment then the OP isn't aimed at them. Hope that helps.

Sometimes an individual would take pity on the victim and hide gunpowder among the wood faggots to hasten their death.
There is only one way to make this scenario even more depraved, infinitely depraved in fact; and that would require magic powers. Imagine you could make it so that the victim never found escape from their agony through death, not just to extend their pain for a few hours or days but literally for all eternity.
Now imagine you could impose this penalty on untold millions of humans; not as a punishment for hideous acts against others but for thought-crimes.
Anybody who can worship and adore a deity who invented this incredible depravity is a moral imbecile. Christians believe they can celebrate in heaven, eating, drinking and praising their god within sight and sound of a scene that would make Auschwitz look like a holiday camp.
Christianity is a death cult and its most ardent followers are sadists.

Why Do JW's Believe that Hell is Symbolic When the Disciples of the Apostles believed it Was Literal ?
by Sea Breeze inlooks like the early christians believed jesus when he warned about hell over 40 times.
why don't the jw's do the same?.
from “the epistle of barnabas” (70-130ad).

I wonder if christians who rant about eternal torture in hellfire are secretly harbouring sexual fantasies about it.

A simple rebuttal to the recent 'Last Minute Repentance' change.
by nicolaou infor decades, critics have pointed out the unfairness of god slaughtering billions in a future armageddon who never even met a jw much less heard their life-saving message.
(remember the contortions around the collective responsibility of nations?
) also, why do babies and children have to die simply because their parents rejected the witnesses?

Sea Breeze - If you actually believe that you are a moral imbecile. If you are only pretending to believe that why should anybody waste their time conversing with you?

Jesus preached that the 'end' would arrive within the lifetime of his disciples. For that reason they literally abandoned wives, children and businesses to follow him.
It turned out Jesus was a false prophet. So who can blame his modern followers for doing likewise?

The Reasoning Book
by Magnum inthe book reasoning from the scriptures was released in the 1980's, and it was used at virtually every meeting for service, every service meeting, and every theocratic ministry school meeting thereafter.
many jws had copies bound together with their bibles.
it was huge in jw land back then.. at that time, with the reasoning book, jws were trained to keep conversations going in spite of objections, to almost stick their feet in people's doors to keep conversations going, to defend "the truth," to argue doctrine, etc.. compare the situation today with that of the 80's.

I hated that book. I knew how to answer questions from the bible and objected to being told to get the book out and read the answer. I never used it.

Is Jesus God?
by Sea Breeze ini know that a lot of historical names have claimed to be a god.
but, jesus arguably claimed to be god.
scripture says he's the creator.

You can use the bible to prove whatever you want regarding the divinity of Jesus because the bible isn't a book - it's a library written by authors over a long period of time during which the theology of the church evolved.
The developed doctrine of the trinity is post-biblical mumbo-jumbo.
