Yes as we see from your posts above you can make the bible mean absolutely anything you wish.
Nothing that you have said even begins to meet the challenge. Nothing but sophistry..
alone, without my safety net of "god" being there to remember me when i die.
after much consideration, examining science, history and using logic, i have come to the conclusion that there is no "god" at least certainly no loving, personal "god.

Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
For the fourth time the Asian tsunami destroyed tens of thousands who had repented as well as thousands of innocent babies and infants.
Therefore Luke 13 is irrelevant to the conversation.
The god of Jesus is love. The god who caused the Asian tsunami would be evil. Therefore the god of Jesus does not exist.

He didn't offer the excuse that people die for a reason or they must have done something to deserve it.
Yes that is precisely what he said.
Like all unrepentant inhabitants of Jerusalem they got what was coming to them and his hearers would liable to suffer a similar fate UNLESS THEY REPENT.
So if they do repent they won't suffer the same fate. That is the deal.
The Asian tsunami and similar events killed thousands of christians who had repented as well as thousands of innocent babies. Reality makes a liar of Jesus and the god of Jesus does not exist.
It's very tedious having to explain this repeatedly.

So at last you agree with my understanding of the text.
As I said above "The victims of the Asian tsunami included thousands of christians who had already repented as well as countless innocent babies and infants. This was not a perfect act of love. Therefore the god of Jesus does not exist."
A god who murders his own and who kills babies for the fun of watching them drown is not the epitome of love. Therefore Jesus was deluded.

Matthew Henry agrees precisely with what I wrote above.
The men who died were not "great sinners" they were just unrepentant sinners like the rest of Jerusalem. Therefore repent or perish.
It's bloody simple.

Are you reading the same thing?Yes. But your comprehension skills seem to be lacking.
The men who died in the tower were guilty and deserving of death. But no more guilty than the rest of Jerusalem - all of whom rejected Jesus' call to repentance.
The victims of the Asian tsunami included thousands of christians who had repented as well as countless innocent babies and infants. This was not a perfect act of love. Therefore the god of Jesus does not exist.

So the idea of a God who allows innocent people to die does not contradict what Jesus taught,
Yes it does. Apparently they weren't innocent. He thought those particular individuals deserved it. That was the whole point of the text.
Tell me how murdering a quarter of a million men, women and children can be a perfect act of love.
I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous... Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. - Matt.5
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matt.6
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. - Luke 6
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. - Luke 12
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. - Jas.1
"Love ... always protects" - 1 Cor.13

Same reason I know the earth is not flat. We have all the evidence we need to be certain.
Drowning a quarter of a million men, women and children in a tsunami is not a perfect act of love as defined by Jesus.

Jesus explained very carefully that god is love and exactly what that love means in practice.
His words cannot ever be reconciled with reality.
We have all the relevant data, the evidence is in. The god and father of Jesus - the god who is love - does not exist.
