The theory of human evolution, namely that man descended from apes, is widely accepted amongst non-Muslims although there have been many non-Muslim scientists, atheists included, who argue that it is flawed. As an opinion, it was wholly rejected by all Muslims as it goes against their basic knowledge that Allah created Adam with his own hands, from clay, in the physical form of a human being, and then breathed life into it.

Evolution Deniers - An Endangered Species
by cofty inevolution explains how everything descended from a common ancestor over millions of years.
creationists only seem to want to talk about what came before that common ancestor.
just for the sake of discussion let's pretend that the following is true.

So? The above statement is correct.
If you want to find a creationist ask an evangelical or a muslim.

projecting intentional agency to others that some say only religious people have
nobody says that.
"Scientism" is a word used by silly people who fear evidence.

Why are the evolutionist's so upset?
by Esse quam videri inso many evolutionist's on this forum are upset at the terror attacks in europe such as recently in sweden.
it is just a logical step in the evolution of the human race.
should you not rather be celebrating the great changes taking place right before your eyes and constructing detailed explanations of the cell structure and dna development in the human brain.. you can't eat your cake and still have it.

Your arguments about the law are a red herring.
The Law does not hold a five year old responsible for their actions. Five year olds have consciousness.
There is no evidence that humans are anything other than biology.

Animals, Blood, Food, and JW Beliefs
by dubstepped ini'm just thinking aloud here.
i watched a show yesterday and they were talking about how the largest mammals of the sea (whales) fed on such small creatures (plankton) rather than eating some other large creatures.
anyway, it got me thinking about how as jws we thought that in paradise animals would all be herbivores, that they would no longer eat other animals.

Even as a loyal JW elder I did not believe the animal kingdom would/could ever become vegetarian.
Perhaps that was the first signs of "independent thinking".

The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

Really? That's your contribution to this thread?

The Law does not comment on whether humans have a metaphysical dimension. Stop playing word games.

Really?
You commented three times in a thread about a life-and-death issue to complain that you think there might be a grammar error.
Shouldn't that be - The Watchtower am Right About Blood...?
No it shouldn't. Obviously.

Can anybody be bothered to converse with EQV? I can't.
He seems unaware that the majority of christians have no problem with the fact of evolution. Creationists are a sub-group of hyper-ignorant theists found mostly among Protestant evangelicals and Muslims.
Their ignorance of science is matched only by their ignorance of their own ignorance.
