  FTS - The Denisovans are usually grouped as a sub-group of Homo sapiens.

  The diagram is absolutely not the last word on the taxonomy of our ancestors. So much is still to be worked out and new discoveries will change things in the future. One problem is that the popular press publish modest contributions to the science as if they were earth-shattering revelations that have changed everything. Progress is almost always slow and steady and open to constant revision.

  religion historian philip jenkins decided to compare the brutality quotient of the quran and the bible.

  The OT is more violent than the quran but don't forget to also consider the Hadith and Sura.

  Jenkins is wrong to say that Mo only advocates violence in self-defense. Islam is a imperialistic religion and political philosophy. "Convert or die" is the mantra.

  Thankfully millions of Muslims are as ignorant of their holy books as most christians are of the bible. The boys learn to recite it in Arabic but mostly have no clue what it actually says. The quickest way to radicalise a Muslim is to have him read his scriptures in his native language.

  Interesting thanks. In the UK the government would make a compulsory purchase order and offer a price usually quite generously above market price.

  By the way I have just finished reading a brilliant three-part history of Mao Zedong by Frank Dikotter. I would love to post some of my thoughts on it soon and would appreciate your ideas.

  due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

  can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

  would hate to lose all those good videos!

  Award Shows and Entertainment---Do You Want To Hear Political Views During A Show?

  if i watch a ball game or an awards show or some other type of entertainment, i really don't care about politics.

  i enjoy politics but there's a time and there is a place.. i think it's getting out of hand and it's getting pretty boring...but that's just my humble opinion..

  Explosion on London Train

  there was an explosion on a london tube train at parsons green station at 8:20 bst this morning.. there are pictures online of a plastic bucket that seems to be the source.

  witnesses are reporting seeing a large wall of flames coming through a packed train carriage.

  people are now being taken to ambulances with significant burns..

  The terror alert level in the UK has just been raised to the highest level - critical.

  This means that an attack is believed to be imminent. It usually means the security services have specific information about a planned attack. It probably links to the bomber from this morning who has not been caught yet.

  It was a home-made bomb with a timer but it failed to detonate properly. If it had worked there would have been many deaths. This makes six Islamic terrorist attacks in the UK so far this year.

  It has now been officially declared as a terrorist attack. Looks like it was a bomb that failed to detonate properly.

  No doubt it will turn out to be another gift from the "religion of peace".
