This is all about money. This is modern day science
Says the man who owes his life to the skill of a heart surgeon who even accommodated his superstitious fear of blood.
this has possibly been brought up before however here goes.. constant reference is made by many posters to scientific research as being the only way to prove something factual that would otherwise have to be taken on faith.
there actually seems to be "faith" in scientific findings.. my experience over many years is that most scientific research is fake.
nothing oftencomes of the big announcements made to raise more money.. money, prestige, pride, human error, suppositions etc., are rife amongst the scientific community.. i realise that there have been many advances over hundreds of years but humankind is in a mess, although very different to even a century ago.. the medical profession now has vaccinations for everything, antiviral drugs etc.

but creation in general seems to have the imprint of an artist. - Waton
Snowflakes seem to be the work of artists. We know exactly how they form without intelligent design.
i used to be a staunch believer in god.
maybe its technology and science advancing so much thats got me doubting idk.
do you believe in god?
It depends on how you define god.
A personal, loving, powerful god does not exist. That much can known beyond all reasonable doubt...
Complexity has not been an argument for god for over 150 years...

He certainly can choose to speak to our spirits, perform miracles, heal, raise the dead etc.
Except that he doesn't.

A case can be made that there might be non-biblical messages from a creator,

science (at least natural one) cannot answer is there a God or not - btlc
That is only true if you define god so vaguely as to say almost nothing about her.
As soon as christians come clean and admit they are talking about an omnipotent, imminent, creator god we can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that she does not exist.
This is precisely why christians take false refuge in theoretical physics.

Old Navy you are guilty of equivocation with your use of the word "god".
Christians do not worship pure energy or light. They preach a personal being who is omnipotent and who is the epitome of love. History proves beyond all doubt that such a being does not exist.
All your work is still ahead of you.
do not know where to post this but i like to hear your views on what you think had the biggest impact on humans.
for me, 2 things:.
music: every human listens one way or another to music and will likely have some sort of emotion.
Interesting question menrov. I agree with your two ideas.
Stephen Pinker makes a very strong case in his book "The Better Angels of our Nature" that story books changed the world profoundly. As people were able to see the world through the eyes of fictional characters it had the effect of nurturing human empathy.
Public torture and inhuman punishments became less acceptable. The data he presents is very compelling.
the second coming was in the 1st century all things have been fulfilled because jesus told them some would still be alive when he returned.
