  this is my first post, i will introduce myself later.

  first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?

  some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.

  My parents are in their 80s and been JWs since their 20s. I hope they die in blissful ignorance expecting to wake up in paradise.

  I always said to anybody who challenged my beliefs that if they could provide evidence that I was wrong I would change my beliefs. As soon as I worked out the cult was wrong I left - despite huge personal cost.

  You are peddling total nonsense based on fear, paranoia and ignorance. Then like all conspiracy nutters you get aggressive when intelligent people tell you why you are wrong.

  It pains me to be on the same forum with people dumb enough to believe in a flat earth and moon-landing hoaxes.

  It is one of the reasons I could never go back to the KHall. It offends me to be spoken at by ignorant people assuming the role of experts.

  nasa has not produced a full picture of the globe earth from outerspace its all cgi

  That is a lie.

  There are plenty lower resolution pics that have no processing at all from NASA and other national space agencies.

  NASA explain clearly on their website exactly how and why they build high resolution composite images.

  in the discussion about race i adopted a position i am not entirely comfortable with.

  i think there is a sense in which it is useful to distinguish categories of description that can be fruitfully defended (apples and bananas) and those that cannot (caucasian or other racial descriptions for example).

  but there is a more fundamental sense in which i believe that everything is socially constructed, every single line you can think of.
