Jesus fulfilling old testament prophecies like his legs not being broken
by Isambard Crater inwhat are everyone's thoughts on this, how his legs weren't broken, he was pierced with a spear and he wore a thorny crown?.
i'm pimo and very much not wanting to believe, but like the daniel statue prophecies, these ones about jesus stick in my mind and give me "hmmm, maybe" moments..

Calling Cofty and others regarding evolution
by dubstepped inso i have started down the path of trying to understand evolution, and to get the linear lies that the jws planted in my head out of it.
i bought an audiobook called "evolution: what the fossils say and why it matters" by donald prothero.
i heard it recommended on an atheist podcast that i listened to.

All creationist objections take a similar form...
- Identify some complex feature of the natural world. A quick Google search or nature documentary will quickly provide inspiration. Creationist websites have hundreds of them you can copy-paste without attribution.
- Do no research at all on what is currently known about the evolutionary history of this feature. Ignore any possible fossil evidence, comparative anatomy or phylogenetic studies that shed light on the subject.
- Declare that this feature could not possibly arise by naturalistic means.
- Make reference to 'blind chance' and compare this to some human artifact - a watch, 747 aeroplane, house, computer - almost anything will do.
- Boldly assert that evolution has no answer to this challenge.
- Try to throw in the name of some PhD with a Doctorate in history or philosophy who agrees with you.
- Conflate evolution with atheism ignoring the fact that most intelligent christians accept the fact of evolution and many atheists know absolutely nothing about it.
- Ignore the factual answers that follow.
It all amounts to an argument from ignorance and/or personal incredulity.

The contrast to Dubstepped who is asking genuine questions and raising honest objections is massive.

Typical scenario...
- Creationist asks list of 'gotcha' questions.
- Factual answers are supplied.
- Creationist ignores answers and posts more similar questions.
- More factual answers are supplied.
- Creationist also ignores these answers and posts copy-paste from creationist website
- and so on and so on ....

When we admire an impressive work of art or impressive piece of machinery we readily conclude that it was well made by its creator.
Yes because we know that art asn machinery is made by humans. It doesn't reproduce therefore it isn't subject to the actions of natural selection.
Biology is NOTHING like art or machinery.
Yet, when we look at life in all its incredible diverse glory we are encouraged to conclude that it all arose spontaneously because it was supposed to: no creator required
'Glory'?
What about all the stuff that is amazingly 'designed' to kill and devour other stuff? The microbes that do nothing except kill and reproduce for example?

a. Who wrote the codes for DNA? - Old Navy
Nobody. It's not that sort of 'code'. It's just nucleotides doing their thing. That vast majority of DNA 'code' is meaningless gibberish, filler, parasitic code and broken stuff.
b. When did humans become sentient?
Sentience is a property of most species of complex animals.
c. Why do we desire to create and repair and emotionally "connect?"
Because we are a social species whose speciality is big brains. The ability to connect with other members of our group is essential to our survival and chances of reproduction.
and literally thousands of other questions regarding life and all of its incredible diversity
Keep asking and I will keep answering.

Is there any published work regarding Evolution which isn't hypothetical:
Yes. Tens of thousands of peer-reviewed studies. Absolute, incontrovertible proof beyond all reasonable doubt.
Since you have never even read a science book in your life you are hardly in a position to judge.
