  I am under no obligation to carry out any silly task you decide to task me with and which would require considerable investment on my part.

  Presenting information that you find interesting and important is not silly. It's something I do frequently. If you don't present it succinctly in your own words then nobody will pay any attention to it. Why should they?

  If you understand the subject you are arguing for it will take very little effort to write up your thoughts. Of course you are under no obligation and I didn't 'task' you with anything. I said that if you really want to discuss it then that is how to go about it. Your choice. I have already read articles about panpsychism and found nothing at all to attract my further attention. It answers nothing, it raises more questions than it pretends to solve and it is unfalsifiable which shows it is not science.

  There is no science involved in the woo-woo of panpsychism. There is nothing to discuss. If you disagree go start a thread and tell us specifically what it is all about, what the evidence is and why it matters. No videos and no copy-paste. Do that and I will treat it with respect.

  Rocks don't have personalities. Having an open mind is good but be careful your brain doesn't fall out.

  you still haven't explained why panpsychism is obviously wrong by the way.

  I said it is incapable of ever being proven right or wrong. Therefore it is 'not even wrong'.

  There is nothing useful to be read about panpsychism. It is admitted by its proponents that there is no evidence for the idea and no evidence against it. There is also no possible way to ever provide any evidence for or against it. It is an unprovable hypothesis and therefore it is by definition 'not even wrong'.

  If I propose that an invisible unicorn lives silently in my garage how much time would an intelligent person spend trying to prove I was wrong? Panpsychism is exactly like that. It does absolutely nothing to help us understand human consciousness. It is a pointless distraction.

  SBF has already been promoting this panpsychism woo-woo on two different threads recently. Very, very 'creatively-minded' people who are untroubled by the challenges of actual research are taking it seriously.

  It would be impossible to offer evidence either for or against it. In other words it is 'not even wrong'. See 'Hitchen's Razor'.

  The rest of us who live in the real world can safely assume that rocks do not have personalities.

  i’m curious how many people believe in god?

  i’m not interested in debating why you shouldn’t have a belief in a god or should.

  Not a game Minimus just a perfectly reasonable question.

  Many people who claim to believe in god actually have in mind a vague, nebulous notion of some - hopefully benevolent - supernatural being. Others are thinking about an imminent god who answers prayers, observes everything that happens, cares about who we sleep with and how we do it and who is going to punish those who don't return his 'love'.

  The difference is so profound that asking people if they 'believe in god' is a meaningless question that nobody should indulge without further explanation.

  Minimus - Are you asking whether we believe in the god of Christian theism or in any nebulous notion of a 'supernatural' entity?
