Overwhelmed
by Freedom rocks indoes anyone else feel overwhelmed on what to believe?.
i've been doing lots of research on beliefs, evolution, creationism but i feel no further forward about what i truly believe.
for example i looked at the fossil record and tiktaalic and thought great it proves a lot but then i've seen counter arguments on youtube of people basically saying its a load of rubbish and doesn't prove anything.

I don't believe In the bible anymore, I am more looking for scientific answers to life/creation/evolution so I can hold my ground on why I dont believe in the bible.
It takes time and effort. I feel able to refute every argument ever made by a creationist and respond to any objection to evolution but I've been reading science books for over a decade. Watching YouTube videos are of very limited value and there will always be those plausible-sounding creationist videos that seem to have merit. The people who make those creationist videos - just like Perry - have never read a science book in their lives.
If you are serious about learning you need to commit to reading. Don't be in a hurry.

Our X and Y chromosomes contain genes for all sorts of things apart from reproduction.
Interesting fact - females have all the genes to make a penis.

If animals were unisex, then how could some cells decide that it would be better to form a penis? For what purpose? Because in other animals cells were mutating to form vaginas and they would work together. But those cells can't communicate so how could they work that all out? - Ratty

Life is a not a 'thing' it is a process'. The energy that powered its beginning probably came from the chemical reactions that occur at deep-sea alkaline vents.

Perry when you are trying to find support for your anti-scientific superstitions try to find sources written in the last few decades by people actually working in the appropriate field. Dentists are scientists but their opinions on evolution are irrelevant.

I would like to see a source for that. If it is in context then it is an astonishingly stupid thing to say.
In his defense he was writing a long time ago. Modern physicists like Jeremy English are working on the hypothesis that, from the perspective of physics, life is as likely as a rock rolling down a hill.
