That is different from JWs who have simply become inactive and stopped attending meetings.

I hate sounding like I am defending the cult but you keep posting terrible arguments. Always quote your opponent in context otherwise you just weaken your own case.

How is the admission that some JWs have abused children incompatible with the claim that they are not 'permissive of pedophiles'?

Weak arguments harm the case against the cult.

Be in no doubt that I believe that the Watchtower has created a haven for pedophiles but I don't get your argument.

I live in the UK so I can't comment on the situation in the USA. In western Europe equal rights for gay people is guaranteed under law.

Gay people are very well represented in the media and in storylines of mainstream drama.

What freedom do gay people not yet have in the USA or any other liberal democracy?

it really is common sense, but nobody here seems to recognize or acknowledge this blatant and obvious truth.. the holy bible is the result of the catholic liturgy.

they used these scriptures in their religious practices and confirmed which books would and would not be part of their cannon.

they picked, preserved and promoted these books and gave 'the word of god' to the world.. i know that pisses off some folks, but it is the truth [not the 'truth'tm].

That list mostly seems to be about issues surrounding the law as it affects people with gender dysphoria and about allowing others the right to exercise their religious freedom.

There is a supply and demand problem with advocacy groups. They can never honestly admit the massive progress that has been made already and must constantly exaggerate the issues.
