  jehovah's witnesses are appealing to the supreme court of the united states, but this time it has nothing to do with preaching or saluting the flag.. it's all about child abuse.. specifically, the protection (or cover-up) of information, documents, and testimony of persons involved in cases of child abuse.. i will be covering this story in the coming weeks and months, but i thought i would share some of this news and try to distill it down as simply as i can.. i'd like to point out first that watchower has appealed to the supreme court in connection with their loss of yet another california child abuse case.

  the chance that watchtower's appeal being will be heard by the supreme court is slim, but anything is possible.. what brought this about?.

  I am not prone to conspiracy theories but you have to wonder why they have chosen to make a stand on this issue. This is NOT a biblical principle that has to be defended.

  Somebody is afraid of the facts being revealed. Is it the scale of the problem that they need to keep secret or are there particular names that need to be protected - or both?

  Wow! Either he has inside info or he is a loose cannon.

  For the first time in many years a JW called at my home a few days ago (I suppose it was caused by the new rules that prohibit DNC notes) and it was CSA that was the issue that really got him concerned.

  he was reporting on the second trial of t robinson for the same offence that being reporting from outside a court house after the trial in question was over.

  this defendant tr has been found guilty and if sent to prison he will face the real possibility of being murdered inside.

  You never said you disagreed with China's totalitarian regime either. Not one word. You blithely blamed the victims.

  Should the full story come out there would be people in very high places implicated. This scandal should be front page news, but instead many people who talk about it are being de-platformed - banned from youtube facebook etc - RB

  That is not true. It has frequently been the subject of newspaper articles and even a thorough TV drama-documentary.

  TR did not do the heavy-lifting on this subject. He exploited it.

  The trial was one of a series of ongoing prosecutions of Muslim rape gangs. The scale of the scandal is staggering.

  The judge banned reporting because the police and CPS were still preparing connected cases against more culprits. TR jeopardised those ongoing cases. The hero in this case was NOT TR but a small number of youth workers and MPs who challenged the senior police officers and social workers who were too politically correct to open up this can of worms.

  TR crossed a line, not in the interests of exposing child rapists, but to make himself the centre of attention.

  At TR's initial arrest the judge behaved outrageously by banning journalists from reporting it and by holding the trial within hours. That is how totalitarian governments behave. In the UK we do not arrest people in secret. His decision was soon overturned. It was this action that gave the impression of a state cover-up when in fact the state are clearly on a mission to try every Muslim child-rapist it can find.

  I do believe TR is in danger if he goes back inside.

  Yes. I don't know if it's sensible to say you are proud of of your country of birth because that was a matter of chance, but I am very pleased that I live in the United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland to give it its proper name.

  Despite a growing trend to trash everything to do with western democracies there are few places I would rather live. At its best 'Britishness' is an admirable set of characteristics.

  I am also a big fan of the USA and its vital contribution to freedom.
