Vander - Serious question - What books that present the scientific evidence for evolution have you read?
If you do answer this question honestly you will be the first.
evolution is how we got here.. demonstrate that you believe that all species evolved from a single cell over/within 3.5 billion years by tapping "like" below.. demonstrate that you believe in special creation by tapping "unlike" below..

Yes I think I will have to do that when I get time.
Vander - why do you chose the most ignorant, ill-informed, unqualified buffoons on the internet to support your superstitions?
I appreciate that ad hominem attacks are not an answer but really could you not find somebody more credible? Steven Myer isn't even a scientist. He is the founder of the Discovery Institute - a thoroughly discredited shower of charlatans.
i saw my mother today for the first time in three years..
she was on one of the witnessing carts in town at a station i don’t usually get off at.
i did today as i was dropping my daughter off somewhere.
That is sad.
I think it illustrates why I wouldn't try to persuade my parents that the WT is a cult even if I had the opportunity. It is their entire world. I have no idea how they would fill the vacuum if they took the red pill at their time of life.

I echo LUHE.
There are many details about evolution that are uncertain but the fact that every species, including humans, evolved from a common ancestor is as settled as the fact that the earth is not flat.
It will still be true after all the discoveries of the next 10,000 years. There is no serious debate among scientists on this basic fact. It is only most Muslims and a minority of fundy xtians who reject it.
(According to SBF the shape of the earth is nothing but a personal opinion)

But when has anybody EVER been persuaded against a cherished (false) belief? - Terry
I don't know but thousands of exJWs suggest it is not uncommon.
The ability to change your cherished beliefs with the discovery of new information is a sign of intelligence. I am deeply grateful to people who care when other people, including me, believe things that are just plain wrong.

Vander is this just a poll or an invitation for debate? I assumed the former but then you posted a video of the worse kind of creationist stupidity.
Do I rebutt it or not?
part 1 - protein functional redundancy.... part 2 - dna functional redundancy.... imagine you are teacher with suspicions that some of your pupils have been copying from each other.
comparing the correct answers in all of their assignments might not provide conclusive evidence.
they could simply claim they had all carefully revised the same textbooks so it shouldn't be surprising that they all gave the same answers.
For new posters this is one of forty threads in the series Evolution is a Fact...
Creationists like Hooby have responded with personal attacks and insults but so far not with any facts.

Hooby - Did you bother to read the article you posted a link to or check out the sources?
I did. It is the most glaring example of dishonesty!
Off to work, will explain later - spoon-feeding creationionist who can't grasp their own arguments is becoming tedious.
i believe the environmental movement has many of the hallmarks of an apocalyptic millenarian cult.. urgent predictions of doom and fear-mongering.
utopian ideology.

You simply have to wean off the teat of the angry far right man - PP
Thank you for illustrating my point.

SBF - I have never suggested there isn't a problem nor that action isn't necessary.
That doesn't change the fact that environmentalism has become a secular religion complete with dogma, apocalyptic hysteria, utopian fantasies and messianic leaders.
