Candace Owens interviews Douglas Murray
by LoveUniHateExams inyeah, so the candace owens show is apparently in london and douglas murray is the person interviewed.. they cover a range of topics that are current and connected to murray's new book (the madness of crowds: gender, race and identity).. i've not got his new book but it seems to be good.
owens and murray both make good points and it's a joy to listen to them together.. enjoy .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4o9yqrby9q.

Did Russell come up with the no hell fire and no Trinity doctrine or did steal that belief from another religion as well?
by nowwhat? injust wondering hate to give the devil his due.

In the early days Russell advised those who subscribed to his writings to stay in whatever church they were currently associated with. He said that no organisation had monopoly on truth and that Christ would know his sheep wherever they were to be found.
Those are not the actions of a man who was seeking to set himself up as a leader. If only he had stuck to those principles.

To be honest it was so long ago since I read Russell's books I would be struggling to remember the source.
To paraphrase he said something along the lines of - if somebody had only the bible, they would be walking in darkness, but if they had ONLY Studies in Scripture then in ten years time they would still be in the light.

But overall, compared with many other sectarian leaders, it seems that he was a good person with good intentuons - SBF
I broadly agree agree with that but I'm not sure it was still true towards the end of his life. His statement that elevated the utility of Studies in the Scriptures above scripture suggests extreme hubris.

Unbelievable similarities: beautiful, empathetic interview with ex Mormon gal
by Diogenesister inwonderfully warm interview from "stop the shunning" channel host beth, with ex mormon morgan ( ex morgan).. morgan describes her young life and the process of waking up or, in mormon parlance, her "shelf breaking".
there really are so many things we have in common, from young marriage to feeling personally responsible for saving everyone you have contact with that's not of your religion.
morgan also describes both her father, her husband and her own fear of losing family and loved ones at the same time as loosing her religion and difficulty we all have whilst pretending we still believe or being pimo.. highly recommended viewing.https://youtu.be/upxirjvtpec .

Thanks for posting. I enjoy learning about 'apostates' of all sorts of groups.
Jenna Miscavige's story is worth a read too. So many similarities.

Emergency 'grab bag' campaign accused of scaremongering
by pleaseresearch ina police campaign to get the public to prepare a "grab-and-go" bag in case of emergencies has been both criticised and mocked by social media users.. a police scotland tweet urged people to pack essentials such as a first aid kit, radio, torch, and food and water.. its recommendations were part of an annual preparedness month, which is being promoted by local authorities and emergency services across the uk.. however, the police force has been accused of scaremongering.. the tweet read: "september is preparedness month.
emergencies can happen at any time and it's recommended to have a #grabbag ready containing essential items including medication, copies of important documents, food/water, torch, radio and other personal items.".

Galaxie - Howzitgoinbigman?
What would go in a Scottish grab-bag? Must be a good topic for Tam and Stuart on 'Off The Ball' on Saturday.

Black Sheep - I think it would be difficult to find a Scottish town name that doesn't have a parallel in NZ. Even the farm I live on has a twin in Dunedin (New Edinburgh).

What possible emergency do people living in Corstorphine need to be prepared for?
Glaswegians will keep a few cans of Irn Bru and a bottle of Buckie handy.
Utter bollocks. Police Scotland have got far more important problems to worry about.

Veganism is a secular cult.
