Does Our Being Former JWs Affect Our Enjoyment of XMas?
by minimus ini went to 2 parties yesterday.
i actually was invited to 4 this year.. i started out at my daughter's at 7:30 a.m. and my daughter, sil, 2 grandkids and my ex gave presents to one another.
95% of the gifts were for my 2 year old grandaughter because it was really her first xmas to unwrap presents and get into the "spirit".. then i went in the afternoon to my gf's and they had a big spread and we (once again) exchanged gifts.. here's my bottom line: i enjoyed the family and friends getting together.

Minimus, this is going to sound like a joke; but it's true. I think I became a Jehovah's Witness because I hated holidays! I got baptized when I was 27. I could tell you a long story about being raised in a Holy-Ghost hellfire church (They had more meetings than witnesses--if you can believe that), but I'll spare you. Oh! And I have 6 sisters and 6 brothers! Need I say more. Dude, just let me have some peace and quiet! Thank you, Jesus!

Yes, I saw the movie "Ice Twisters" on Syfy. I watch all of their doomsday movies. They're pretty low budget, for the most part, but they have some pretty good story lines.
I liked it.
