Bill Bowen's Use of "Fake Precision"
by Psychdigg inthe fake precision fallacy involves making a claim with a mathematical precision that is impossible to obtain.. he does this on his site where he starts with an alleged and unsupported figure that the watchtower has a file of some 23,000 child molesters and runs that figure up to the point where it becomes absolutely absurd.
his purpose is to persuade readers that jehovah's witnesses are a hot bed of child molestation.
the problem is that he starts with at best very dubious sources and then he takes this data and treats it as if it is precise and factual.. it is not unusual for many of us to use a frivolous "false precision" in making statements.

THE NUMBERS CANNOT BE VERIFIED FROM ANY SOURCES OTHER THAN INSIDERS AT BETHEL.
THE NUMBERS ARE CONFIDENTIAL, AND BECAUSE RELEASE OF ANY SHUCH FIGURES WOULD BRING REPROACH APON JEHOVAHS NAME THEY WILL PROBALLY NEVER BE MADE AVAILABLE.
Many posters on this board are aware of this prediciment but because they have incountered personal experiences of it they think it is very likely.

alright, i wont you to read and "pay attention" to 2 peter chapter 3 verse 4> millions right now i bet'cha that question already cross their mind, and it shows that millions are losing their faith, well verse 9 is another reason that jehovah cares about us, he created us, so it's common sense that he cares.... .
and verse 10 is another vision of what's gonna happen and verse 13 is what mankind can look forward to after armageddon.

Somebody has to make a report on this and distribute it to the anti-cult ministries while this is still hot.

I personally will milk this dry...
I will use every word they typed all to my benefit.
You see I have been increasing my credibility for sometime now with my gf so she pretty much belevies me when I tell her something about the Watchtower.
But now that they have done this...
Mabe she may finally get some new light on the WT.
