This website has a pole where over 50% of the voters thought that the NWT was an execlent translation.

Over 50%!

This website has most likely been saturated with jw sympathizers who are ignorant of the intelectual dishonesty perpretrated by the NWT translation comitee and veiw the NWT as a more than reasonable work.

Shurley that should not be the case.

i usually don't like letter writing programs, but i may i ask all of you- could you take the time to drop an email to anyone who publishes an article in the paper like we have seen in ref to the bryant family.. these reporters appreciate feedback and if you ever wanted to offer help or do something - this just might be your opportunity, .

Been Invited To the Memorial

hi all,.

after almost a year of trying to fade out, they have come to my door encouraging me to be there for the memorial this year.. could you guys give me some strong valid reasons why this whole ritual is wrong in the first place?

maybe some counter scriptures from the bible.. i have a few in mind already but just wondering what you guys think.. getting ready for theocratic war hehe.

I heard that it was an ancient Gnostic ritual.

Only certain members wewre allowed to partake of the body of Christ.

I dont know the full details but I have to look into it further.

What can I say besides...

Two wrongs dont make a right.

What has the Bible been used for throught history?

The attitude the was adopted towards natives of many lands is not nearly as prevlant as it was back then.

The native indians were called savagaes and not viewes by many as deserving of any rights.

That kind of attitude has faded away in recent times.

My whole point is that,

Christians did these things and they were wrong to do so according to their own teachings.

If a muslim were to do so he would be in the right according to his teachings.

If a jew did it he would be right.

What is the solution?

I only have a problem with people justifying continued violence in the name of God.

The jews continue to do it and so do muslims. Mabe Protastants but i'm not too shure as no examples come to mind.

Prostestants have come along way because of threat of force. The stronger will win or they will comprimise.

Like you said the were not allowed to take controll of America so they had to compromise.

My history on that subject is lacking so I cant carry on an indepth discuaaion on that matter.

But when will it end?

When will people have respect for others beliefs?

God is a jelous God, is that the reason?

Two wrongs do not make a right.

The crusaders were bloody and so were the muslims.

Dose it make sense arguing about who was the worst of the two?

To me it would make sense to make sure something like that never happened again.

But what is preventing it?

Jews want the wholy land

Muslims want the whole Earth.

If the Christian world did not posses the force that it does now what would happen?

Christianns are much more tolerant when it comes to religion.

A muslim can come to a Christian country and make converts but can a Christian go to a muslim state and make a convert of a muslim?

If Israel were to lose the backing of the U.S. and its allies what would happen?

The surrounding muslims states would not hesitate to draw up a plan and iniate the said plan to take back the holy land.

And people complain about the Isralies over use of force with regards to palistine. Yes the do overstep their bounds but the day that the Isralies drop their guard we all know what would happen.

Muslims believe that the religion should be the head of the state.

This belief is similar to the Catholic teachin that the church should be the head of the state.

Look what such a belief has prepetrated throught history. Lack of religeous freedom costs lives. Simple as that.

When people are unwilling to compromise the are only three possible results.

1) They go their seperate ways.

2) One party is stronger than the other and is willing to use its force to bring about its desired desicion without regard for the other side. i.e

THE STRONGER WILL WIN.

3) Both are obliarted. No need for a soultion.

Christians and jews are not willing to submit neither are the Muslims willing to tolerate.

Only a show of force prevents it going any further.

This seems to be the probervial between a rock and a hard place.

I have nothing against muslims but I do have something against people being unreasonable.

Both sides are unreasonable at times.

Only time will tell.

could i challenge you to a debate regarding your teachings?.

i have a stragety in mind.. the rules would be simple, who ever cannot anwser five questions to the satisfaction of the judges would loose the debate.. not anwsering a question at all counts as a loss.. you could get to pick three or four judges on this board who you think would be reasonable to judge our responces.. and i would get to do the same.

i.e i get to pick four posters who i think wll be reasonable.. that means there will be a total of 6 or 8 judges.. outside help is allowed.. does that sound fair?.

jehovah long ago confidently stated that he was going to rock the very heavens and the earth into oblivion.

although not going into detail exactly how he proposes to shake the nations up, it goes without saying that the world stands posed to experience a catastrophe beyond human comprehension.. it has now been six months since the so-called 9-11 disaster.

and while most people have been quick to get back to business as usual in their little lives, the events of 9-11 have set off a chain reaction of official policy revision that has potentially far-reaching consequences.
