Oh I know, they still are terrified even to attend a wedding or funeral at a church, even being careful at flea markets they dont' buy bake goods from the church food stand. But the society can sell to one no sweat.. the Society doesn't work by the same rules as everyone else.

when a female publisher conducts a regular ,scheduled bible study and a male kingdom publisher is present, she should wear a head covering.(1cor.
11:3-10)the july 15, 2002 issue of the watchtower, page 27, explains: this is a pre arranged session of teaching where the one conducting the study actually presides.

I swear, if I was studying with someone and they whipped out a hankey or a tissue.. cause that is what all the sisters I knew used. and it put it on their head. That would be the end of the study. No amount of explaining would convince me that, that covering ones head has the same symbloism in our modern world as it did back then. Sorry..they just look silly with the hankey on their head.

yup! It can, my old hall sold to a small church. It was great once the speaker went to the wrong hall, and his wife commented on the "strange windows on the doors that looked like crosses" he ignored her and went inside. Everyone was VERY friendly with him.. he was surprised..then realized he was in the wrong place and showed up at hours. LOL I remember thinking I was surprised he didn't put some "spin" on it. Guess he didn't have enough time to flower up the story more. lol

TV and commericals cost money too, to buy air time and advertising rights. Techinally actors have to be PAID.. why do that when you can get people to spend their own money to dress themselves, put gas in their car, and do it for you for FREE!! lol yeah they ain't stupid. plus they like to "poke fun" at the TV evengilists too much to be one of them. Now if they could figure out how to make a profit off it, and have zero money put out, they be all over it.

Saw some JWs this am! Couldn't stop laughing
by Free!! inthis morning on my way to the office i decided to stop at the gas station to get some coffee.... as i am pulling into the parking space i see this woman w a haircut from the 80's the typical below the knee skirt and long sleeve shirt (is a 105 degrees over here in the shadow).... i immediatly knew she was a jw... she had the latest wt in her hands..... she skipped me and approached a group of young mexican laborers that were resting in the back of a truck... but... as soon as i walked out of the gas station... guess who was waiting for me???
the jw!!!
she wanted to do a presentation.. i looked at her and w/o saying a word i started laughing so hard the guys in the truck started laughing as well... she just looked at me and still kept trying to push her literatrash!!

LOL I really feel sorry for them sometimes. I had some at work. Now mind you I moved to a new area, and don't know any witness around here personally. But incomes this guy wearing a tacky outdated suit, which screamed Elder. and his wife, who was dressed in this ugly pink and purple outfit, with the skirt pulled up under her chest, which was soo pilled and overly used. UGH I knew right away they were witnesses. sure enough I ened up on check out when they left, and I kept trying to spot the no blood card in his wallet or something. then I saw she had a piece of paper in her hand, and she was acting like she was trying to be discreet. Which if you know anything means you're drawing a TON of attention to yourself. LOL So he finishes checking out she comes over in one LONG BREATH..hands me the tract, and says "here's something for you to read" and BOLTS out the door.. LOL I almost fell over laughing. I wish she woudl have stayed I would have loved to explain to her that I'm Wiccan, and said some mumbo jumbo to freak her out. HEHE

apparenlty they are using a broker to do the selling too. Apparently it's in Vermont, NJ.. don't know much else. This is the first I'm hearing of this. I questioned the sales, and pointed out how they are scalling back and selling halls. Consolidating assets in business terms, and apparenlty they are all brainwashed they are sending the money to halls over seas and such. Which anyone with half a BRAIN knows is crap. Cause the scalling back has been going on, before the economy took the big dump.
