  looky looky - A 'real' J-dub forum! (are they becoming normal???)

  so did the 'da society' give these dub internet savvies permission to start a forum?

  because last i checked, the ole boys in their oversized brooklyn bunker didn't want their members on the internet unless it was to view their own official websites.

  i thought maybe it was an apostate forum until i read their long winded, typically condescending jdub style membership guidelines:.

  well this past weekend was pretty much as predicted, the demonstrations were probably the worst i have ever seen.

  you know the ones i mentioned on a post last week where in the middle the participant has a sudden epiphany!

  I actually took notes for this assembly. But I took them in the real meaning, behind the watchtower bullshit.
  
  Too many people talk about sports, or gather to watch.
  Too many people are dressing sloppy.
  Too many people buy new things.
  Too many people voice their opinion on politics.
  Too many people are leaving.
  
  My view on notetaking is, they wouldnt have to talk about it if it wasnt a problem.

  Do more musicians become apostes?

  i was playing guitar today, trying to teach my friend nothing else maters by metallica.

  now most of us can agree that no jw would ever ever ever admit to listen to metallica to brother or sister.

  but behind the words and the swear words of any song or band.

  Now most of us can agree that no JW would ever ever ever admit to listen to metallica to brother or sister. But behind the words and the swear words of any song or band. There is notes. Notes, rythem, keys, music. And music always sounds beautiful no matter how disgusting and awful lyrics are.
  
  Now my question is out of most witnesses that "wake up" how many of them are either fans of music or are muscians themselfs?
  
  I'll leave you with a little example, it's the song All that could of been by Nine Inch Nails.

  One thing that bugged me in that movie that in one scene with the Holocaust suvivior, the narrator basicly said the JW's were more commendable because they were in the nazi camps by choice? and the jews had to choice? Wtf. Correct me if I'm wrong but i've only seen the movie once year or two ago.

  How were Rutherford's Cadillacs purchased?

  i mentioned rutherford's cadillacs to my study conductor, and he said maybe rutherford was able to purchase them because he was independently wealthy.

  were they purchased from his own personal wealth or with the wt funds?.

  What video games were banned when you were a JW teen?

  i'm not a jw, but i'm kind of studying to be one though.. now that's out of the way, i remember mortal kombat was banned within my home-my mom isn't too fond of blood in video games..but yet, she plays dinosaur crisis sometimes....but then again, that was when i was 9...lol now that i'm 15 and i wanted mortal kombat 9 (still) my mom stil lsaid no...but then again, she would let me play it online..i dont know why..its strange, but hey, whatever works for her and me i guess.. .

  um...lets see..any shooting games, or any games that has blood in it, she wont let me get.

  so i can still play fighting games, just not the ones with blood...eh, oh well.i'm surprised she even let me play "dead or alive" and "soul calibur"!

  My parents didn't care about the video games, because they were smart enough to know that violent games don't make people do violent things.
  
  But, the elders sure gave a damn. One time my friend was getting a ride home from field service. He started asking him what video games I played. He said he doesn't know. But the truth is that I play all the Halo games, 1,2,3,Wars,Reach,ODST, and a couple others like Half life, Call of duty. Generic teenager stuff.
  
  He used to come over to my house and play it everyweekend! I was lucky to have friends like that. Sad thing is that he got out of the org, and I'm still in.
