by Charlotte2010 ini'm looking for someone to help with some research.
i need to find out about the culture and beliefs of jw's.
it must be from a genuine jw, not hear say from someone who 'knows' about the faith or has previously been a jw, i need to hear the view as a positive.. if anyone can help i'd be grateful if you could get in touch.

Hi Charlotte,
I am an active JW and I can help with some research if you like. I see both the positives and the negatives to being a JW. I believe I can give a pretty objective response. However, I'd need to be anonymous as I don't want to get in trouble with the organization.

Taking blood automatically disassociates you?
by lostsheep82 ini don't get how you are disassociated if you take blood, if you are unrepentant according to the elders manual on pg 111. now do they have this same elders manual in bulgaria?.
also if you join a nonnuetral organization you dissasociate yourself automatically.
so i wonder if some poor janitor brother with his own business became an ngo with the un if he would have been cast out!

I believe the "automatic disassociation" was the technicality made to appease Bulgaria. That way they could say they do not take disciplinary measures for those that take Blood. Instead, by taking Blood they are choosing not to be JWs. See the difference?

Are Faith and Reason Compatible? Jan Awake

in other words, you must worship god in a way that is worthy of thinking beings.

one thing you may be surprised to discover is that JWs do not read the Awake!
I have to disagree here. A lot in my hall talk with each other about what they read in the Awake! Therefore they must read it. The mental filters however tend to not raise any red flags at the discrepancies between how JWs should test their faith and how everyone else should test their faith.

this one is the most glib i've seen.. actually, several times "75" came up.
maybe they feel the more they bring it up and make light of it, the more of a non-issue it will become..

in need of a good brochure
by loosie ini have neighbors that the witness are obviously having a bible study with, they come by weekly in skirts and their 4 door car.. i need a good brochure that i can leave on their door everytime the jw's come by.. can anyone reccomend one?.

Does anyone know where the thread of a few months back is that had the expose of the fact that the Advertise speech was about 1874 being the date of the kingdom to be advertisec? I can't remember when that was. Thanks. I'm working on a video. Need it.
Check out the Nov 1, 1922 Watchtower (reprints) pg. 337. Has the full speech (and many others) form that Convention.

I read that book there, Examining the Scriptures Daily 2011, which isolates one verse per day and tells me exactly how God wants me to understand that verse. In fact if I stubbornly believed that the verse had a different message I could be labelled an apostate and disfellowshipped. You wouldn't want that to happen to me, would you?
Guy: errrr... No. That's not some sort of cult, isn't it?
Girl: No way! Satan fools people to think that Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult, when in fact we are the world's only true religion. Most importantly, if you don't understand the Bible the way Jehovah's Witnesses do and become one of them God is going to destroy you and probably everyone else in the office at Armageddon.

Girl: Here, let me get a book "What does the Bible Really Teach" from my purse and we can look at paragraph 1... Let me look at my theocratic calender here too and we can arrange a brother to come and follow up with you at your home.

Are they really that bad???
by anonymous4 inhad a good look into the doctrine, beliefs and practices of jws and to be honest, i don't really see anything wrong with it at all.. it's biblical and i've had such an eye opener the past year or so reading some of their books and magazines .
is there really any real reasons why i shouldn't want to get involved further?

If you want an informed decision check what Witnesses say and anti-witnesses say against God's word the Bible itself.
Debator. I agree. You are one of the few witnesses that I know who is not afraid to consider opposing information, and I respect you for that.
